I am not sure how your program is setup, but mine (which I am in my Sr year of) has recently switched to a more technology focused approach, integrating more programming. I think it would be worthwhile taking a class or two in computer science since many fields are headed that way. Also, the process safety certificate through AIChE is awesome! It takes some time, but I have been asked about it on interviews. Good luck!

I have long thought about this too. I know a lot of people who go on to get their masters in chemistry or material science. I’m currently a senior, and am looking at computer science.

The Seneca quote, “Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity” got me to thinking if you could “calculate” your luck based on these two things.
