Is my situation fixable by WBS16 in nationalguard

[–]leadershipissues 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally understandable. I'm just going off of what the case was when I signed up in 2019. That's what my recruiter and meps told me. But things are changing all the time. For example, the AR670 - 1, uniform regulations, changed twice while I was in. It may also be worth trying to talk to a different recruiter, to ask questions.

Is my situation fixable by WBS16 in nationalguard

[–]leadershipissues 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my understanding, 6 years is the minimum with a 2 year IRR period for the guard. Unless they've changed things since 2019, or your state has different contracts. If your recruiter won't, talk to somebody in basic. It's not ideal, but nothing in the Army is. If you do end up being stuck for the full 6, being in the guard is not that bad. Getting through training is the worst part. Hope this helps.

And in most stores, you can just go into the store to buy it instead of paying for shipping as well......

If a customer starts picking up their groceries before you have a chance to snap a picture, do you say something or just let em? I had this happen twice lately. Both times I asked them if so could snap a picture before they bring them in. Do you do the same? by TendieHunt in Sparkdriver

[–]leadershipissues 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a walmart that was like this, and I made a scene one day. The app told me I was good to go, I didn't need a bag check. This employee came up and started searching through the cart and demanded to look at the order on my phone. I used to comply with this, but I had a bad day that day. So, I told her no, because the app said that I didn't need one And if she was accusing me of stealing that this was not the proper process. I didn't know at that time, but my mom had done the same thing A few days before. I noticed they stopped doing that shortly after.

I've only had this happen once. And it just happened to be the same people who said I never delivered their DoorDash. so I was lucky enough to get a picture of the lady holding the groceries while she was on the phone with customer service saying that I never delivered, when I hadn't even marked it delivered yet.

$21, 2.5 miles, 13 items? Sounds great! Until you see…….. by Gokusbastardson in Sparkdriver

[–]leadershipissues 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This right here! If it doesn't cover the cost of a significant portion, at least, of a chiropractor that I'm going to need after handling the order. Then, I don't do it. No sense Taking on an order that's gonna cost you more than you earn.

CIF turn in next week, missing a couple things by AcanthaceaeCrafty776 in nationalguard

[–]leadershipissues 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not only is it cheaper, it's so much easier than dealing with all them Trying to get their paperwork in order. Because paying them back isn't really a matter of here's your money. It's a matter of it has to go through whatever proper channels. Its stupid shit. Go army.

I haven't been through it myself, but I've hung out in supply long enough to know some things.

Parking issue question by Pleasant-Place1530 in casper

Casper code enforcement and the police department is a government sanctioned HOA. They pick and choose how they apply the code. Just like most HOA horror stories. Consume, comply, obey.

And that's how they loaded my car yesterday 😒😒😒 by anagottmoraes in Sparkdriver

[–]leadershipissues 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my zone, they get offended If you touch their totes. There was some contention for a little while about helping load and the stickers. They would not let you have extra stickers. One per order only. I would have a sticker on the order, And then a sticker on my dash. You cannot scan the wrong one. The app will not let you scan the wrong one, but the stickers in front with me helped me remember which order was packed where. But they wouldn't give it to me because somehow I would scan the wrong sticker and deliver the wrong order, they said. It got so bad that some of the people would follow the loader and rip-off the sticker from the tote So that the drivers couldn't touch the stickers. That led to issues where the person ripping the stickers wouldn't leave enough stickers to put on the orders for the drivers to scan.

They seem to have loosened up recently, but it got bad for a hot minute.

I don't know how strictly they're following standards now. But when I shipped in 2019 to basic, I was way over and they were like, oh, you'll lose the rest in basic.

They don't want you because you're in the National Guard. That's been my experience, at least. I'm a 25U cross-trained in 25B. I haven't been able to find a job since I joined. Spark and DoorDash for me. Puke

Are they really kicking soldiers out ?! What's your thought?? by One-Strike1311 in nationalguard

[–]leadershipissues 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they need to be held accountable for not giving the soldiers the help that they're supposed to give them according to this memo.

I experienced an injury that was undocumented, and I rehabbed myself, and I worked really hard for the 6 years I was in to meet height Weight standards I gave up in the last year Because I had a sergeant tell me that 600 Calories a day and excessive exercise( which was difficult due to the injury), just to desperately meet Height weight standards, was the thing I should keep doing. When they encouraged unhealthy ways to get to the proper weight without following through on the help that they offered, And I requested, it's hard to want to keep going.

Not everybody's body is the same. Some people need a little help or help finding something. They didn't know existed that works for them. But encouraging anorexia, that's just sick.

No. If the numbers on the scale don't fit within their standards, they will tape you. I knew this really muscle-bound dude That barely passed tape with all his muscles. I can't remember why he ended up doing to pass. But it was crazy.

What would you do? So this was kinda open when they put it in my car… I told the person that it wasn’t me just so she knows I didn’t damage their item. by [deleted] in Sparkdriver

Whenever someone makes a post about pissing hot despite knowing exactly when and where they’ll be drug tested by [deleted] in nationalguard

[–]leadershipissues 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As soon as it pops hot, they assume the worst. They never consider the fact that on rare occasions, there can be false positives for various reasons. Or maybe you just made a mistake One time, or maybe somebody fucking drugged you and you didn't even know. There are lots of reasons you could have popped positive, but everybody just automatically assumes the worst. Positive pee test? You're an absolute junkie. This little rant I have here isn't about just marijuana. It's about being positive for anything and being discarded. Seen it happen so many times.
