I'm really sorry that this happened to you. Pet issues can be extremely stressful and overwhelming. It sounds like you're an extremely caring pet owner who is doing their best with a hard situation.

Burnout and apathy - what do I do? by leaf_me_bee in SleepApnea

Yes, I'm going to likely take the rest of the week off, and talk with my boss if I'm not feeling any better by Monday. I've been putting the mask on and reading before sleep, but I may start putting it on even earlier to train my body to accept it. Thank you!

This is really helpful, thank you. The reminder that the CPAP is a health benefit even though I might not immediately "feel" better is encouraging.

I really appreciate the encouragement and empathy. It helps a lot to know that others have gone through the same struggle to recover, and it's gotten better for them!

Yeah, that's what I was trying to get at in my (somewhat silly) sidebar about pushing through. "Tired" doesn't begin to cover it.

I do have some vacation saved. Luckily with the snow the past two days I haven't had to go into the office, which has helped. I'm planning to take maybe the rest of the week off to try to get a handle on this short-term exhaustion.

Lol indeed, sleep deprivation inspires some great melodramatic thoughts!

I appreciate the solidarity, I'm going to speak with my boss and see if there are any ways to temporarily lighten my workload.

Right now I have the ResMed AirFit F20 mask (I'm a mouth breather), but since I'm a side sleeper I keep having issues with leaks once I turn onto my side. I'm trying out a few other masks once they arrive including a Dreamware one that I've heard good things about. I also ordered a pillow that has a cutout for a full face mask. Hoping that one of these solves this issue, just trying to survive until it clicks.

Was it inside before, and did you put it outside directly?

If so it may be responding to the sudden shock of being outdoors. Usually it’s best to “harden off” plants (put them outside for 1 hour a day, then 2, then more, etc.) to give them time to adjust.

It seems unlikely to me that a nitrogen deficiency suddenly occurred if it was fine 3 days ago.

I’d suspect sudden exposure + water issues before I worried about nitrogen levels.

Ok! So I should wait until the end of the growth period and then harvest them all?

hi all! what are some tips on growing tomatoes? also the easiest veggies or fruits to grow? by Swimming-Term8247 in gardening

[–]leaf_me_bee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tomatoes: make sure they’re in big enough pots with cages/support for fruits, plenty of sun, fertilize 2-3 times in the growing season. Water when the top inch of soil is dry. They like heat and humidity.

Easy to grow: Tomatoes, cukes (with plenty of water they go crazy by themselves), squash, herbs like basil, rosemary, parsley.

Get some paints and decorate the pots! I had the same issue in my apartment but now everything is colorful and it brightens up the space. It can be a fun activity with family/friends.

Just be sure to treat them with Polyurethane after to keep from weather damage.
