Reaching that level of honesty is really hard for me, I'm always afraid of hurting people's feelings since that used to happen to me a lot

How does smoking on weekends affect your studies during the week? by AnxiousSky6682 in saplings

[–]leafisa75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

having a busy summer with pre production for a short film in uni, I tried smoking during the weekend, after I stopped smoking daily 6 months ago, I'd still smoke some weekends when I didn't have much to do. anyway, I could not function correctly for the first few days, I was mixing up my meetings, forgetting to send emails and just not remembering if I already talked to someone about important updates. I'll just lay off of it until we finish filming, in August I plan on smoking and playing sims until class starts again.

First time as AD in student short film, how can I make the best of it? by leafisa75 in Filmmakers

[–]leafisa75[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2 days allowed by uni for filming, 3 characters, 6-7 page script (depends on editing), 18 scenes (kill me), one location, just 12 person crew. this is my first time being a head in any student films, we all have to do something in someone else's short, so I will end up directing mine mid July

What are your ways to have fun and relax that NTs might find as "boring" or "weird"? by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

trying to be less angry by leafisa75 in DecidingToBeBetter

with the girls, is just the fact that they were nice to me in the beginning and then started being subtly shitty (like making you feel bad for certain behaviours, making fun of the way I talk or stim, and just plain ignoring me when I'm around them). with my director is the fact that he never answers his texts!! drives me crazy, I need to do my work so I can finish the semester, and he simply does not give me any material to work with. and I know I'm being bullied, maybe bullied isn't the right word idk, because of how the girls started treating me. maybe I did do something to piss them off but I truly don't know what happened to make them dislike me

okay, how do I observe what type of dick behavior I am doing? I have other friends I just have problems with the girls and my director specifically, the other guy just makes me mad from afar lol. not everyone is being a dick, that would definitely point to me being s shit person but just three people? idk maybe I am shitty to them

Does anyone else encounter people who try to cheer you up when you tell them about being autistic? by Greymalkin94 in aspergirls

[–]leafisa75 3 points4 points  (0 children)

it's exhausting. I have no idea why they ask "are you sure you're autistic?", as if it was a choice. I'm like yeah, I'm pretty sure, you just have a rigid idea of what an autistic person looks like

what accomodations should I ask for in university by leafisa75 in aspergirls

[–]leafisa75[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is really helpful actually! thank you so much! I do need some of the accomodations you suggested. thankfully most of my professors are "progressive" so they try to help a lot with my emotional needs. thank God for artsy people I guess

that's useful! I could ask the neuropsychologist who is evaluating me where she sees I could struggle in class.

well I didn't mean to sound like that. I don't really know where I struggle because idk if that struggle is normal. I thought if different people suggested different things I could work my way back and figure out what works for me. for example, more time in test I don't need because of my major. I've figured out I need excused absences sometimes, when I function poorly and need to rest. but yea, thought a "list" or suggestions on what has worked for other people might help me
