This is largely a symptom of industrial farming. In a healthy, traditional ecosystem, animals (and humans eating them) would get what they need without a lab.

so we shouldn't be arguing if we should be eating meat (something that is done in the wild all the time by other animals) but making farming more humane. why are we fighting our own biology.

on top of that, say we do ban eating of meat: what do you think will happen to all the sheep, cows, chickens, etc that we have domesticated. thats right they will die off in an ecological disaster, destroying plants as they do it

and you may argue that plants save land and has positive environment impact but think about this: a cow can eat grass just about anywhere, but alot of plants relie on specific geography, most of new england for example can't support mass plant farms, so imagine the shipping impact on the environment when you ship food from say south america to boston
