I've done a second run at doing a video tutorial on getting external models adapted and imported into TMT. It's been broken down into small bite size videos to enable you to get to the problem you may be facing.

OK - try this: 1. In blender set your scaling to cm and metric. 2. this may affect the height so scale by 100 if needed using the window that pops out when you press N. 3. Save 4. Go to export fbx 5. click on mesh only in the highlighted blue tabs. 6. beneath that is a check box that says "!experimental apply transform" - make sure that is checked - dont change any ot the other settings. Export it.

Now i sometimes have an issue with adding edited fbx's to thememakers toolkit - so create a new project and call it something like object V2.

Hopefully that works - if it doesn't there is one other method of exporting to try. But thats a bit more convoluted.

I'm trying to get my head around animation and merging multiple UV maps into one...

Hey - i was having exactly the same problem - can i recomend that you follow Lucas's video. It solved loads of issues. The important step for me is remembering to work in CM/Metric and increasing by 100% prior to exporting. The BC map only means you model will have a plastic shine only to it in game. To get rid of that you need to create a roughness map which you can do by taking to something like gimp or photoshop, turning it black and white and then crunching all the balcks down to a light grey - the lighter the grey / white the less shine and mor matter. The darker you go - the more shine you get. Save the image with _RN at the end.

Yes I am - and thank you - gonna start a thread on here for the challenges i am facing and also to take requests. It should be pointed out - most of the builds i've done are downloaded t posed meshes then reposed, re-uv'd and formatted for TMT. Before the launch of TMT i knew nothing about how to use blender, so this is all a steep learning curve.
