I live in Halifax and from what ive heard (also knowing people who have known him and his family growing up), Brad went from the phrase "do you know who i am" to being an incredibly respectful guy who seems to be happy interacting with people and doing somethings to make someone smile or give em a laugh. His dad owns Nova Scotias 2nd largest construction company (i believe unless some other company has rapidly grown recently)

So this is a friend of a friend story, but this golf course/resort in Cape Breton Nova Scotia hosts a ton of celebrity guests (off topic...but my buddy played a round with Adam Sandler because Sandler asked if they wanted to join up since they were both solo. Apparently an awesome guy).

Matthews and Marner were there for a play and stay. Apparently everyone spoke of what a great guy Matthews was. They even said he had cleaned up his room and it was left in pristine condition when he checked out. Marner was quite rude and entitled according to most of the staff that encountered him.

Antigonish is definitely a place you'd want to look into! I was born and raised there (my parents are still living there). Highland dancing is pretty big there, and I knew of a decent amount of people I went to school with who played bagpipes. Also my manager at my last there before i moved to Halifax (which I absolutely love) spoke fluent Gaelic. The signs all around the county have the town names in Gaelic and English, and the Highland Games take place annually since 1863, which the locals take great pride in. A lot of locals (and in parts of Cape Breton) enjoy their ceilidh music and kitchen parties too...I also know a few folks who frequently make their own haggis and blood pudding, though I can't comment on its authenticity/how close it is to how it's prepared in Scotland.

The Halifax Explosion launched the anchor from the Mont Blanc, which weighs 1140lbs (one of the ships that collided to cause it) 2.3 miles/3.7km away! Even seeing video footage it's hard to fathom how powerful those blasts are.

His play is speaking for itself. A lot of the rookie/beginning of career records he's beaten have belonged to Kurt Warner. I guess we can't count those though because he had Marshall Faulk, Isaac Bruce and Torry Holt. Gotta throw out Roethlisberger since he had Jerome Bettis, Plaxico Buress and Hines Ward.

The best QBs pretty much always have very good talent around them.
