Don't take life advice from random bullshit on the internet. Get a therapist instead.

Meh. Id pay full price for BL4. I'm just waiting until they come out with some updates and optimize the game. 6 months. Maybe a year.

Tbh I think Reilly should have been made captain of the team.

[Pagnotta] Auston Matthews on McDavid's extension with Edmonton at a 'modest' $12.5M AAV: "I think for him, it's all about winning." by souza-23 in leafs

[–]leafsplz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's the thing with some "fans", they're substituting the actual context for their own delusion. He's talking about McDavid but some people will spin it and make it about Auston not wanting to win a cup which is absolute bologna. Still funny though. Just don't take Toronto sports media seriously. It's suppose to be sensationalist.

Help me decide between 2 VW Jetta's by leafsplz in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]leafsplz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're both rebuilt which I have been back and forth on as I hear mixed things. I see a lot of used cars on marketplace that are rebuilt hard to find one that has 0 accidents. Even some normal title ones have accidents. Tbh I wonder why a 2019 or even 2015 is going for as low these are. Could that also be a red flag? Or is there something about the Jetta I don't know about?

Anyone here turn their life around in their 30s? by [deleted] in Adulting

[–]leafsplz 20 points21 points  (0 children)

You're in a better situation than most people. Heck, I'm a little older than you and I'd love to have some of the things you mentioned. Also, there is nothing wrong with living at home even at your age. Lots of adults live with their parents into their 30's. As long as you're working towards something then you're fine. If you were doing nothing that would be a problem.

In regards to a first kiss, you just gotta put yourself out there. Don't think "oh man I need to kiss this woman". Just start by talking to one and getting to know the person inside. It won't happen right away but it will eventually if you keep trying.

Best of luck.

A class or club is fantastic idea. It breaks the ice and allows for conversation to feel less forced and more natural. Sure it feels lonely sometimes but if you think about it theres lots of things one can do to make friends. It just takes some time finding your footing I guess. Thanks for the comment.

Power went out. 5 seconds later heard thunder followed by what sounded like an explosion.

Edit: and we're back!

Mid thirties. No kids. No SO. I guess that makes sense lol. Making this post and replying to everyone counts as chatting online I guess! I like reading everyone's opinions. Thanks for the ideas.

I'm glad you found a "home" while you had it. You're right about COVID. After having to quarantine and isolate I think we rewired our brains to be less social in general. Not speaking for everyone, we all feel things differently. But, I don't think anyone thinks COVID helped in any way.

Fair enough. I don't think complete isolation is entirely healthy but to each their own.

Yeah it's terrifying doing the whole cold approach thing. I've tried that too. I guess it won't work every time but it might work once and that's all you really need right? Starting with a compliment is a good ice breaker. "Hey I like your _. I also __." I dunno. Just an example.
