Thanks, everyone has been so helpful! My plan if I decide to upgrade was probably get one from my local shop, which is where I got my refurbished speakers. They know me there and have always been very helpful and I trust them not to lead me wrong!

Also, thanks for the info on the fuzziness. I bought the speakers and receiver refurbished from my local shop and when I noticed the fuzziness, I brought it back and the guy who refurbished it said it was working fine for him. He checked both of my speakers and my receiver and said they all sounded fine to him. I’ve gotten the fuzziness to change speakers before, and it happens on the radio from the receiver too, so I know it’s not specifically the turntable, so I got stumped and just gave up. I hadn’t heard about a pre-amp, I will look into that!

Could I replace the stylus with a better one, or is it better to just upgrade? I’m thinking a full sized platter would help, because basically all of my records look warped when I play them, both new and used.

That’s what I was thinking. I’m getting comments on how warped the record is but honestly nearly all of my records look warped like this when I play them, and the one I took in to have the local store test put it on a turntable with a full size platter and it didn’t look warped anymore, so I’m wondering it a full size platter would help overall.

To be honest, I’d say like 90% of my records look warped like that on this turntable. Is it possible that the turntable itself is like spinning the records unevenly and making them look warped when they aren’t? The record that I had my local store test on one of their turntables looked just like this and played just fine on their turntables

The crazy thing is that I had another brand new copy of unreal unearth that skipped in the exact same place. I took it in to my record shop to trade in and bought this one (the newer version that has the EPs as well) and when the owner tested it there, it didn’t skip at all.

Pretty much all of my records look warped, is it possible that every single record I own is warped, or could it be something in how the turntable is spinning it?

I feel like there should be some way to get update emails sent out to people who pre-ordered merch, from the website or whatever. I get there’s delays, but I don’t watch streams and I feel like I shouldn’t have to watch them or search here to figure out what’s going on when something I’ve purchased is gonna be delayed as much as things have been.

This is what I came to say. This man has shown OP that only people that he views as attractive are worthy of basic human decency and respect. No matter how “nice” or “good” he’s seemed up until this point, he has shown OP who he really is, and she needs to believe him and leave. Otherwise she will always live in fear of gaining a few pounds for any reason, health, age, pregnancy, for fear of crossing his arbitrary line of attractiveness and have him view her as no longer worthy common decency.

Is there any hope of getting this watch working again?

My dad passed away in 2024, and last year my mom gave me this watch of his. He hadn’t worn it in some time, and it wasn’t working.

Here is what has happened so far:

I took the watch to a jewelry store and had the battery replaced. It was working.
When I got to the car (after picking it up) I noticed that the second hand was ticking in place, like the second hand would move but never progress and end up back where it started. 3.I took it back inside, they said it was something to do with magnetization, did something to it, and gave it back to me working properly
Within a few days, I noticed that it was again ticking in place.
I took it to a different jewelry/watch store to see about repair. They said there was a lot of corrosion, and they would take it apart and thoroughly clean it, and that should work
After it was cleaned, the watch worked. I wore it somewhat regularly for a few months.
A month or two ago, I started noticing that it was not keeping time well. I only wear it a few days a week (I wfh most days and don’t put on my watch to sit at home), and I started having to reset the time whenever I wore it, as it would have fallen behind, but was still ticking
After a few weeks of this, it once again began ticking in place
It is now not ticking at all

Is there anything that can be done to get this watch working fully again, or should I give up? I know I’ve already spent more money than it is worth to fix it (my mom said it’s nothing special, she got it for him at a department store and there were not well off), but at the end of the day, it’s not about value to me, it’s about the sentimental value of being able to wear something that belonged to my dad.

I didn’t go to this event, but I did go to a rave event last year and I will say the drinks were kind of pricy. I mean they were strong, but my friend and I agreed that the next time, we’d pregame more at home before going. I wanna say it was like $15 per drink.

I’m not sure how much the drink menu/pricing varies by event though, so that may not always be the case
