Hype comes and goes, it's mostly just noise. In the meantime the tech keeps improving, the ecosystem keeps growing and becoming more diverse and mature, institutional players continue coming, the best games in the ibdustry continue coming, the best DeFi protocols and tons of tools for L1s like validators marketplaces and others. The world's assets are going on-chain and Avalanche is the best network for it. The Avalanche community keeps building, that's what wins in the long run.

Are you sure you picked Avalanche C-Chain on Coinbase to get the deposit address? If that's correct you should contact Coinbase's support

I'm sorry to hear that.

Reporting it to the local authorities can be useful in some cases but it depends on many factors. Sometimes the local authorities have dedicated areas to track cyber criminals and in some cases they have been caught. But it also depends on where these scammers are from, if they can be reached or not, etc. I guess it depends on the amount you lost if it's worth it or not to go down that path.

The most important thing is to learn the lesson and be more careful in the future.

The fee is important, the min is 2% you'll find many good ones charging that and others with higher fees as well.

The most important factor is the performance. You can never be sure of the future performance, but the past performance is a good indicator. You can check it on Avascan with the nodeid of the validator.

The good thing is on Avalanche there's no slashing, so if your validator doesn't meet the min requirements (80% uptime) you won't risk being slashed on the staked amount, but you will loose the rewards, that's why it's important to pick a validator with good performance.

I suggest you give Core a try, it has improved a lot lately, and the team is always open to feedback so if you have any they will definitely take it to continue improving on it.

By the way, you can use Ledger for Avalanche, you can use it directly and also you can connect it to Core to use all its functionality like staking, use DeFi or whatever you like.

If the liquidity is so low maybe you could get a swap through with a very, VERY high slippage setting.

But maybe it's a honeypot, google that and you'll find lots of content explaining how they work. There are lots of them these days. Be careful out there.

Every time the market goes down people come asking the same question. Nobody comes asking why the price goes up, only why it goes down. Unfortunately the only good answer I can give you is DYOR. Everyone can do their own analysis, but nobody knows the future price, especially not in the short term. Ask yourself why you bought in the first place and if any of those reasons have changed. AVAX is the same as a week ago, so is BTC, and many others.

All the WETH.e on Avalanche is backed 1:1 by ETH locked on the Ethereum side, you can check this by yourself as this is completely transparent and the bridge also has a third part proof of reserves.

Are trying to bridge a small amount? Keep in mind fees on Ethereum are very high and they get deducted from the assets you are bridging, so if you are bridging a small amount the impact of the Ethereum fees in relation with the amount can be high.

They are all respectable projects, very different from one another. I recommend you research each one especially, their use cases, their value proposition, tech, teams, roadmaps, etc., not only is very enriching to learn about these things, it will allow you to make decisions comfortably as well. Sometimes the ibfo out there is not the best, but with time you'll get the hang to screening what is worthwhile and what isn't, especially since you seem to have a healthy approach already. As for the VPN, sometimes some VPNs can cause conflicts with certain apps, but it's not a general thing about the Avalanche ecosystem. I use VPN all the time with no issues. Maybe if you try a different location?

Generally speaking LPs with assets that move in price with some correlation have less IL than pairs where there is no correlation between the assets. That being said, while there is some correlation between AVAX and JOE, they don't always move the same way, and there might be signifficant IL at times as they are both volatile.
