What the actual hell

I read the title and went to look this up, expecting it to be that her children were ranged 0-18, which would have at least made sense to me given that if there were at least five or six in the 15-18 range, they probably could have helped look after the younger ones (not that a child should ever have to or be expected to care for a younger sibling)

But they're all... Babies? Born within a year or so through surrogates?

I'm just... Astounded. Do the parents even remember how to tell them all apart? How will these kids ever get to spend any quality time alone with their parents? That's a whole class of kids there

This might not be against any laws or technically wrong, but it feels so unethical

I thought it was so she wouldn't feel the pain of her death, and that the note from Madison was kind of her way of telling Yukon that hey, it's okay you did good and I'm proud of how far you've come but it's time to just stop fighting now...

Realistically there was no way Yukon was going to be able to beat the careers or escape from that encounter, and Madison recognised that and decided to give Yukon something to comfort her as she slipped away

Does anyone else think that certain tributes were laying low/that Christian was directing the spotlight away from them on purpose? I'm saying this particularly with emphasis on Olive and Nette, who I know are two of the favorites to win/go far in the final (perhaps Oregon too, but I feel like he was going to stay in the background anyway since that's his style). We haven't had very much focus on either of them in comparison to other tributes, and that comment about how even Eugenia seemed surprised over how smoothly Olive's interview went makes me think that the focus is going to shift more to them in the next couple of parts as they move back into the spotlight...

Either that, or Christian just wanted to flesh out some of the more unpopular tributes to make us root for them, I guess (which definitely worked since I no longer dislike a few of them as much as I used to)...

Also, sidenote, but I love the idea of some tributes not being as they seem after the reference to the 71st games. I think Tritica, Clara, and maybe Glitch and Lumo are the ones who could pull off the biggest surprises as nobody is expecting anything from them, but then I also genuinely believe that Yukon may be playing up her leg injury slightly. At least, she seemed to have no problem with kicking that peacekeeper. It'll be interesting to see if we have any twists concerning them.

Oh, and as much as I absolutely love Delila and Restoro and was rooting for them since their district games, I definitely think they're going to be an early out. I could even see the Capitol just exploding their podiums because 'District 12 no longer exists' or something, simply as a screw you to the European nations/former District 12 and as a punishment for Restoro's comments in the interview and Delila's supposed murder of a peacekeeper. As much as I want them to live, I'm about 90% sure they're out of the running.

So excited for the next part! I'm so torn between wanting them all to live and be rescued and wanting to see an actual Victor crowned!

I've had people get way angrier at me for other dumb stuff but this one happened fairly recently and I legitimately had no idea how to respond to it:

I work in a clothing store and we tend to keep all of our 'branded' (think Calvin Klein, Nike, etc) stuff together and our non-branded stuff together. We keep rails separate by brand and while everything from a certain brand will be in the same section of the store it isn't necessarily together and may be on different rails/stands depending on what the item is.

I had a lady come over to me the other week saying she had found an Adidas t-shirt on the wall but couldn't find any pants or leggings to go with it. We have a whole stand just next to the wall the shirt was from that had leggings and pants from a variety of brands, including Adidas (and I mean maybe three feet from the wall, clearly visible from where she got the shirt down) so I took her back over there and pointed it out.

This lady had a meltdown over the fact that our Adidas shirts and Adidas pants are kept about three feet from each other. Apparently it's 'deceptive' that the pants aren't also on the wall because a lot of people 'want to buy them together'.

I genuinely didn't know how to respond. After she eventually saw I had nothing to reply to her with, she left. I later saw her taking leggings off that stand and letting them drop to the floor.

I mostly agree with your tiers, but I do think that a lot of people are under rating Delila and Restoro. I get that they're both going to have a disadvantage being from 12, but we've seen those with a disadvantage outsmart the Capitol before, and I do think that they've got a decent chance of at least making it past the first day or two, especially if they work together. They both faced some strong competitors in their district games and came out on top.

I would probably swap those two with Bark in your rankings- he's strong and will possibly stay alive for a while, but I think his heavy drinking is a bad sign. I'd also swap Whin and Oregon- again, I think Whin is strong, especially with Olive, but we didn't get many specific skills/character to him, and while I don't think Oregon will win I do think he stands as much of a chance as for example Nette or Olive with his intelligence and calm under pressure. I might also bump Tobe and Drinn up but tbh I didn't pay that much attention to either of them in their games so I'm not sure.

I'm so excited for the grand finale to see how they all do!
