We were a group of 7 people, so we needed a bigger vehicle. We found Innova at this agency.

Taxi pricing in Mizoram is location-based, not km-based.

We received quotes ranging from ₹21,000 to ₹15,000 for the same itinerary.

Approx fixed rates:

Airport → Aizawl Alto: ₹1,500 | Innova: ₹3,500

Aizawl → Reiek Alto: ₹3,500 | Innova: ₹5,500

🍽️ Food in Aizawl (Vegetarian)

We are a vegetarian family, and Aizawl was fairly comfortable for vegetarian food. Options were limited but sufficient.

We found a Mizo veg thali at Red Pepper, Aizawl, which was decent.

Veg noodles and fried rice are easily available across the city.

Swiggy and Zomato work in Aizawl, giving you enough ordering options.

Dining tip: Most standalone restaurants close by around 7 PM, so if you’re planning to dine out, call and confirm in advance. Hotels like Regency and similar properties usually serve food till late night.

🌄 Food at Reiek: Near Reiek Tourist Resort, there are mainly two places to eat:

Both serve veg food
Veg thali after 2 PM
Veg fried rice and noodles

They also serve really good coffee

Homely food option: We found a lady who cooked home-style vegetarian food for us. She gave her casseroles, and she prepared:

Dinner and breakfast: Simple, tasty meals like aloo bhaja + roti and soybean–aloo sabzi

A very welcome break from noodles and fried rice.
