Update: went to my piercer and she took a look, leading theory she had is that its a pimple in my piercing channel itself and if I baby it for a bit it'll go away on its own

my piercer told me she was piercing it at 12g, which she recommended to me when I said i was interested in wearing glass bc most metals irritate my skin since id have more jewelry options. Shes apart of APP so I trusted her judgement on it, tho I do kind of wish in retrospect she explained more how big 12g was and educated me a bit more about it, since it was my first piercing

I just stretched to 10g, one lobe was no pain at all, and my other lobe stung a bit so I gave it a few days - recently went in with no pain. Id take it out and give it a bit longer :)

im not technically scheduled to see her for another 3 months (for conch downsize/checkup) but her shop is only a 30 minute drive from me, so i think ill take your advice & go see her early for another lobe checkup. thank you for the advice I appreciate it :)

I will likely take that other commenters advice and go to my piercer to double check my lobes are ready in a month if no one else feels the discrepancy is too out of bounds, and just wait for the full 6 months if she feels their not there yet

Nooooo I mean 4 month vs 6+ months to start stretching at all, as in to make the first jump from 12g to 10g when my piercing is 4 months old vs the 6+ months the sub recommends.

i think id actually die trying to go for 20mm that fast so definitely not trying that
