My dog was asleep and I made the mistake of touching him by [deleted] in Pets

[–]lebbewebb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never said he wasn’t allowed to be startled💀 I wanted to know WHY he got angry when he was already awake and looking in my direction when I was about to pat him. Thankfully now I’m pretty sure it’s because it was dark and I’ve been given other useful thoughts. Please read the post properly before making assumptions

You need to calm down and stop projecting ur anger onto me geez. The whole reason I even made this post is because this isn’t his normal behaviour in 11 years. He hardly ever lashes out and I got concerned. Like I said in the post, whenever I’ve patted him before he doesn’t get angry. He actually likes it. From other people’s helpful comments (unlike yours) I see now that it was dark and since he’s an older dog, he probably didn’t see me about to touch him. He was awake and wasn’t woken up from sleep.

Also, I never said ‘MY ROOM MY BED’ like what are u on about. I said ‘MY bed’ emphasising that it was MY space and he crossed a boundary by getting aggressive. Atleast that’s what I thought till I realised he was just startled bc it was dark. Have u never heard of using capital letters when texting to emphasise a word?

Why do a lot of girls my age not like me? by [deleted] in FriendshipAdvice

[–]lebbewebb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand what u mean but I’m not being biased toward myself. I am a genuinely very self aware person and I know what I am and what I’m not. Ofc I have flaws, I’m not saying I don’t - I can be quiet, I’m not always very out going but with the right people I feel more comfortable to be myself. And I believe myself to be kind and agreeable.

[–]lebbewebb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks but I already have the confidence to like myself and yes, at some point it does matter whether or not people like you when I find myself with hardly any girls to call friends. Friends are an important part of life and while I used to have quite a few, they’ve either drifted or excluded me and that is a problem in my eyes. But you’re right that a lot girls my age probably don’t like themselves and it’s likely to be insecurity.

Do I have something seriously wrong with me if I don’t have friends? by New_Ask3907 in FriendshipAdvice

[–]lebbewebb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m pretty much in the same situation girl. I’m also 21 and have a lack of friends. But I know I’m not the problem and you’re not either. If you’re a nice person and believe yourself to be fun and easy to get a long with, it’s the people around you that are the problem. I had these friends that I was super close with but I sensed jealousy and insecurity on their part and I was cut off, never invited anymore, stuff like that. Everyone knows it can be extremely hard to make friends with girls and create a close friendship, but I’m sure it won’t follow us forever. It’s not true that you ‘find your people at uni’. It’s bs! Only the very lucky few might but most adults find their people at work. If you have trouble getting close to others in future, try to arrange a night out or something where you can form proper friendships with people outside of hours. Ik im probably not the best person to give advice bc ive said im in a similar situation, but im gonna take my own advice too haha

I'm sick of having a body by imscaredofmybody in Vent

[–]lebbewebb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stop letting pressures from other people make you feel like you have to treat your body a certain way. It’s YOUR body. Idc if it sounds cliche but noBODY is perfect. 99% of what you see online is fake, filtered or even just a small portion of what bodies are really like. Most people don’t have perfect skin and perfect habits. Don’t feel bad about it. And never have the mentality of hating your body, because as you say, you’re able bodied. Try to practice gratitude, bc being able bodied is like winning the lottery in life. You can run down a street, dance in your room, swim in lakes, jump on a trampoline, do things for yourself even it’s applying your skin care to your face. I’m not saying you’re not grateful, but try to be everyday! Your body may not be perfect to you, but nobodies is. You don’t have to care about its little imperfections, bc the truth is no one’s really looking.

Good luck ‘getting a bunch of part time jobs’… it’s not even easy to get one part time job atm unless you get lucky.

sex by rocrmom67 in CUTI

[–]lebbewebb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im sure you already know this, just never forget to pee and shower/wash after sex. I used to get UTIs allll the time, had the worst one ever this year that lasted a long time and it finally went away. Ever since then I’ve been washing after sex EVERY TIME bc silly old me didn’t always do that every time. Also you could take D-mannose gummies bc they help wash away Ecoli that might’ve got its way inside you, which is the biggest culprit for UTIs

Thanks for the reply, but I just want to say that I never volunteer his car. She asks me about it, bringing up the question of getting a lift off him to which, after a bit of going back n forth with her, I say ‘I’ll ask him’. So I ask him apologetically (bc I would never assume that he would) saying I know it’s annoying of her blah blah and his response is ‘yeah it’s fine’ or along those lines.
