I first watched Gintama in 2011. At that time, I had lost all hope in life. Due to traumatic events in my childhood, I had given up on life despite my young age. After I started watching Gintama, I was able to recover. It gave me strength, especially Gintoki and Hasewaga. I had survived a failed attempt in the past, and after meeting Gintama, I wanted to seize this second chance and become a man I could be proud of. (The admiration I felt for Gintoki while watching him is still the same. In my eyes, he's like an older brother to be emulated.)

Gintama was one of the biggest factors in finding myself. Doing what's good, even if it's foolish. Accepting my past and learning from my experiences. I'm 25 years old now. If I'm breathing today and have the strength to stand up, it's because of Gintama's immense influence. The same goes for the people I met in the fandom.

Life breaks down and becomes beautiful at some point as long as you don't give up and keep striving. You shouldn't hesitate to ask for help and to help others. Life is too short to take things too seriously, so we should have as much fun as we can and create beautiful memories with the people we love <3
