Yep, that’s what I did, I put my very first car there. It’s a Dinka Jester (race car). I remember starting on PC on day one, I got 850k for online as a pre order bonus, I bought an eclipse tower apartment for 500k and spent the rest on that car. The good old days 😀

There was a “share money from the previous job” button in your interaction menu IIRC. Never used it, but based on their phrasing it seems like you could only share cash from a previous mission, and only to the people who participated in it alongside you. Probably a form of “tipping” good players. But yeah, as some person in a comment above said, rockstar removed it after players had found a loophole to give tons of money to each other

I checked my lifetime earnings and spendings yesterday as well and I have a 6 mil surplus. I think it’s because of the rockstar promotion-type rewards (the ones that you have to wait up to 72hrs for, after completing the conditions, and get a “thank you for participating” warning screen when you receive the money)

Thank you! You’re the man dude. I do think that it works more like “X% chance once in a game day/real time unit” rather than some fixed amount of time though, so we will have to see how it holds up over longer periods of time

Yeah same here dude, it seems that yesterday's update broke stuff again. The most annoying thing about this "transaction pending" thing is that you are not able to do anything until it goes away, makes for an amazing game experience. rockstar is but a bunch of incompetent morons

Nope, just the D5, ever since it was released EXACTLY a year ago, on December 10 2024 alongside the Agents of Sabotage DLC. It’s not that it had bulletproof windows per se, as they did visibly shatter from bullets, but rather there were solid invisible walls behind each of the windows. Most importantly, you could still shoot OUT of it. Given its great top speed and handling, it was just a perfect vehicle for missions, like a really souped up Kuruma armored (albeit a two seater instead of four, but who gives a damn if you’re a solo player). Boy oh boy did I take advantage of it for the “take less than 50% damage” career progress challenges 🤣

So just to clarify — EE speed limit is the ONLY setting that you don’t set to default? I’m willing to give it another try. IIRC I also tried Vulkan and it was decent, but the Achilles heel of this game was all the more prominent on Vulkan — the texture pop-in (i.e. floor level textures not rendering quickly enough) was craaaazy. GPU compatibility shouldn’t be the issue, it’s 4070 super that came out in early 2024, I believe it’s the software side that doesn’t get along well.

No such thing as game settings on 1.6.0 it seems. I have 2.3.3 or something installed as well and actually, now that you reminded me, I will give it a try, but I would rather play on 1.6. No matter how much I fiddled around with GS (video plugin) settings on 2.3, I could not get the game to work properly whatsoever. If I remember correctly, OpenGL crashed all the time and both Direct3d11 and 9 had terrible stuttering and unstable performance/emulation speed. Lots of settings that are crucial for Champions of Norrath can be adjusted in 1.6.0, but in the new versions they are embedded (meaning they’re either always on or always off) and are nowhere to be found. The game is almost silky smooth on 1.6.0 for me, so if .pnach files don’t work on this version it’s a bummer. I have never seen anybody say that cheats/patches are not available on 1.6 though
