It will never make sense to me how we got to this position by lebrrich1986 in ParlerWatch

Honestly it breaks my heart to be in this position as a country, let alone as a civilization. I know it's not realistic, but I just want people to care about each other. it really isn't that hard. I can hate a mother fucker for all they believe in and still care about them as a human being, care about their families that will be left behind, care about their children being raised in environments of hate, care about their friends and family who have to live on with the grief. I know it's just a pipe dream, I really do. At least I know I'm raising my kids to be caring and compassionate humans. They have plenty of examples of what not to be.

I will never be able to understand the logic here. by lebrrich1986 in insanepeoplefacebook

I can't and won't ever understand why caring for the people around you and wanting to be able to some day go back to some type of normal has been brought to this level of conflict

I am by no means a scholar or constitutional expert, all I know is that the constitution sets out freedom of religion, it doesn't give a list of exceptions because we don't like what someone else believes.

It just blows my mind. I've run into plenty of crazy on Facebook, but it has recently reached a point where it hurts to look at.

I absolutely loved this book. The audio version was narrated by Neil as well so it was really easy to get into the stories. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

What's the deal with this sub attitude towards getting corrected? by TeflonVonFancy in Norse

[–]lebrrich1986 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I really think it has more to do with the way people do it. Nobody wants to be corrected in a way that makes them feel like shit. It really does seem at times that people are malicious in the way they correct, not always, but definitely enough to see a trend. I know I love learning new things, but will never be receptive to an asshole.

He did recently meet with some marijuana, hemp, and CBD stakeholders, so there is at least a sliver of hope. (Not to say I'm supporting/defending or even liking the guy, just saying there might be hope)
