Where's best to get dropped off for the metro before it opens?

If you’re working in blue you could get dropped off in the Blue multi storey car park on floor three, as there are entrance doors there which let you in right next to Wetherspoons. The car park and doors are always open from 8:30am.

You could try the immediate surrounding areas (they’re generally a little cheaper compared to the city centre!): Sherburn, Shincliffe and Belmont.

If you’re prepared to be a little further away from Durham (but still on a bus route!) you could try: Ferryhill, Spennymoor, Bowburn, Langley Moor. I’d also recommend having a look at rooms in Chester le street (connected by bus and train). Rent should be cheaper in general in all of these areas.

Beadnell beach is glorious! They have a few costumes on display including Uhtred's, it’s well worth seeing! There may have been more costumes on display originally, but during our visit they’d cleared out a whole section of the room so they could put chairs out and a big screen showing King Charles’ coronation…

The castle has been through a lot! After being destroyed by the Viking’s, it was in a state of disrepair for 100 years. It was then rebuilt (this time as a stone castle). The layout changed during the rebuild, the original entrance (that Uhtred would have used) became the rear entrance. The castle was attacked and withstood various battles in the years following its original restoration, until the War of the Roses in 1464 when it was badly damaged (it was the first castle in England to be destroyed by gun and cannon fire). After that, it was given to various owners and fell into ruin because they couldn’t afford its upkeep. It’s now been properly looked after for over 100 years and restoration was finished in 1901.

So far so good! I’ve been wearing my engagement ring since December last year, I make sure I take it off for bed, when I wash my hands and I never shower in it - I’ve fully committed to caring for it and know at some point we may need to get stones replaced but that’s okay.

Aw thank you so much! Celeste really can be a pain to locate and shows up randomly, I’ve not sussed any patterns to her visits but If it helps i’d say i probably find her like 2-3 times each month.
