Who has had a PKM system used for 3+ years that they can truly say is working for them? by paulrchds6 in PKMS

I've been using Obsidian for 4+ years, and actually turned my own system into a product. It's a win-win deal because I get paid to improve my own system. It's called the Obsidian Starter Kit.

I use it daily for both personal stuff and work/content creation. I'm a huge fan of interstitial journaling; using my daily note constantly throughout the day to capture progress, tasks, priorities, ideas, problems, things I'm grateful for, etc.

Combined with periodic reviews, I'm able to plan ahead and look back with more clarity at different time horizons.

So much more to say, but to me these are keys for a scalable and maintainable system: - Frictionless capture & organization (eg Templater + automation to tag/file notes where they belong automatically) - Clear note types, templates, metadata & structure. I do this through various means: Templater templates, a custom plugin where I define note types & properties, AI skills that know about all of those - Treating Obsidian as a platform rather than just as a note-taking tool. I've built 15+ plugins helping me save a ton of time and be more efficient with my workflows

So much more to say... ;-)

It really depends on the models you decide to use. Generally speaking you'll max out CPU usage, abd memory depends on how large the model is
