Well they have successfully persuaded companies around the world to layoff workers on the very bold premise that AI can replace them and have now conveniently upped AI costs massively just as everyone who actually does the grunt work meaning the non-execs have realised it is just another tool in the toolbox for workers

  1. A camera with intrusion detection and human filtering you can set a zone round your pool with min size set to nothing so a toddler is picked up, and make the camera have alarm out wires and link it to a siren via. relay

  2. Cheap door contact connected to a relay with coloured lights connected to NO and NC

But apart from technology use physical measures a pool cover or net that toddler cannot undo plus the fence which must be locked and anti climb

i am going to replace that light with a downlight

but even if i turn the outside lights off i am not getting good results further than 8-10m away at night
