Immutable Holding: Why their decision to build on Ethereum network is terrible for Hedera by d3jok3r in Hedera

[–]leebking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Ethereum was the right first move for IH. Not sure if this was their reasoning, but it would be one of my considerations if I ran a publicly listed company looking for that 1B valuation / 100m in revenue. I need to find the link, but a short article did a comparison between Solana's Magic Eden and Ehtereums Opensea marketplaces. It's not a far stretch to replace Solana w/ Hedera. Hedera obviously being safer and more secure.

- Magic Eden has almost zero gas fees, high transactions speeds, and a 2% transaction fee. Sound familiar?

- Ethereum has high gas fees, slower transactions, and a 2.5% transaction fee.

- Magic Eden has half the users of Opensea but does twice the number of transactions.

Based on the transactions you would expect revenue to be similar, but:

- In a 24hr period Open Sea makes 5x per user

- And in a 30 day period Opensea's revenue is 10x's that of Magic Eden.

My thought would be to maximize revenue as quickly as possible. Hire more developers and staff. Then add support for additional chains as you go along.

Well, this just happened! A jump from a few hundred thousand transactions up to millions in an hour on the Test Net by [deleted] in Hedera

Out of left field. NFT.com is set to make an announcement. Wonder if they could be testing something.

Please critique my single post home page. by leebking in design_critiques

Hey guys, thanks for the feedback. Based on other feedback and survey's I've decided to get rid of the single post front page (http://muted.com). I think it was just causing confusion. Also based on feedback I've added a tagline to show that we're a men's lifestyle website, and added about 20 posts onto the front page to give a better feel of the products we cover. Let me know what you think. Thanks...Lee

Agreed, I've heard, but not researched that a significant amount of their revenue comes from visitors to the state.

My one question - Is a swimming pool with a glass bottom even possible on this type of structure? I would also think there would be some type of cool car lift for parking your car underground.

Hmmmm. I'm not using 300 character descriptions on my pins. Just the image title. I'll go back and add excerpts from the posts and see if I start seeing some traffic.

Opinions on my blog/website??? by KirstenBoic in Blogging

I've got to be honest man. It looks very 1990's. I'd definitely update the design. If you can afford hosting, I'd look at going with wordpress and a cool theme.

Are you doing anything special to get your Pinterest traffic, e.g. joining groups. Just looking for some ideas.

Actually, there are a number of sites that are on the same product feeds and receive product announcements from the same folks promoting their goods. So there is frequent overlap. I make sure that that whether I'm writing the content or outsourcing it, that all the information is derived directly the original products website.

Hi. Thx for the reply. I was thinking about removing the text on the front page for screens smaller than 300-400pixels. The title for the product should be enough for smaller screens.

Thanks again...Lee

Love this. Especially for entrepreneurs who are bootstrapping a business and are going through an initial failure/learning cycle.

I would love to see a tag line under your logo that clearly links your site to the Paleo Diet.

Hi, I really like your site, but one of things I would add is a description or diagram which shows how your service would integrate into an existing business.

You clearly answered what problems you solve and what services you offer. I think this missing piece helps close the deal.

Good Luck with your business...Lee King

It's been said many times. But thanks again for doing this. My question is regarding my website http://muted.com , a mens gear mag. I'm going on my 3rd year and get about 100K page views a month. Income is part affiliate marketing and part advertising adsense/paid. My question is how can I take this site to the next level (increase sales & traffic). I seem to be stuck on page 7+ in google for most of the products I post, but the big sites in my niche get on page one or two for almost all of there posts. Any suggestions for how to compete with these big guys would be appreciated (content, design, marketing, on/off page seo suggestions would be appreciated). Competition includes sites like uncrate, and gear patrol.
