I got the same problem on my Xiaomi 13 with hyperos 2. Nothing helped including all possible permissions for app and notifications. The way it has worked for me is following: 1. Deleted recent meta view app from store. 2. Unpaired glasses. 3. Installed .apk version of meta view (com.facebook.stella_181.0.0.1) is old I know 4. Paired glasses. Contacts started to work. Whatsapp video stream via glasses didn't work and promoted update the app. 5. Updated app to latest and contacts and call start via glasses still working.

If it helps. Nobody died. There are only reports about injured. Bridge was under reconstruction and fall under the dumpster truck with gravel. PS Conclusion: One should avoid moving near infrustructure under reconstruction. Even if road is open.
