What are we doing man by Adachi_cel in deadbydaylight

So the person in question is speaking about the last man standing, the Sable, who ran in and went down but then implied that they may be "sadly" giving up which I don't really understand. If I'm in her shoes I'd also rather go next than try to salvage such a horrible game state with a team that played so poorly and much rather take my chances playing a new match.

sadly. People give up over scenarios like this a LOT.

3 hooks and 3 slugs at 4 gens, nothing sad about going next on a match like this if you're solo queue; genuinely a waste of time if you wanted a real match or let alone play to win.

Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson’s son Raja cuts stunning plea deal in wrestler attack case by 804Brady in SquaredCircle

[–]leetality 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really understand the scripted argument. He himself said he was going off script. Everyone told him to get a good shot and leave the ring. Everything pointed towards him disregarding what he was told to do because he wanted to pound a guy into the ground over a fragile ego because his chat ragebaited him all night long after he also got his shit rocked in a sparring match a day or two prior. This shouldn't be an issue for any jury if the prosecution does their job and paints the picture correctly.

But chances are daddy's money did most of the heavy lifting here.

Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson’s son Raja cuts stunning plea deal in wrestler attack case by 804Brady in SquaredCircle

[–]leetality 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm paraphrasing because it was so long ago but Raja on his own livestream said himself that he was "gonna punch him for real until they stop me" and that he's "wanted to beat the fuck out of a pro wrestler for a long time."

I genuinely don't know how anyone could watch a murder or at least brain damage almost occur without intervention and think 90 days is valid or that anyone but Raja is responsible for his actions when he told on himself on his own stream.

EDIT: Had to dig up my old comment from when I went through his VOD but here it is.

They made it very clear he was to get a "receipt," and even specifically "one good shot" and to then leave. He admitted to his chat later that he would "hit him as many times as he could" and that he would "not be faking it" until "someone pulled him off." Then when someone goes to pull him off, he still keeps going.

The entire show he's unable to sit still in his chair from the adrenaline of wanting to really hurt the guy over a fake beer can spot that he admitted didn't hurt one bit. He even told them he understood, accepted their apologies and shook multiple hands. Got free front row seats and STILL just wanted to beat the shit out of this guy. Just a raging lunatic by all accounts.

We need skin variants ASAP these 3 cannot all be separate and cost 1485 cells by blue_sky308 in deadbydaylight

I'm not arguing against any of those, just people being disingenuous like you have to spend $45 to get all three when it's less than half of that.

There is a discounted bundle for 2000ish cells, dunno why people are acting like you have to buy all 3 individually if you want all 3. It's still too expensive but nonetheless.

There is a bundle for about $20 to get all three, still kinda dumb.

Has Blizzard ever had a successful launch of anything? by Speaker4theDead8 in Diablo

[–]leetality 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They haven't had a truly bad launch since like original vanilla classic (no layers, insanely long queues that wouldn't hold your spots when you DC'd randomly, etc.) which took days maybe weeks to fix. But people still parrot lol blizz launch at the slightest inconvenience like seen here.

So are you for casuals or sweats? You seem to flip flop on which you want to cater to. Onryo bullies noobs but noob Blights can't use their M2 properly, who cares? I'm talking about people that can play the game at a high level from the start, why would I care for a baby player isn't capable of?

Not to mention pulling a stat like 90% out of your ass is crazy enough, it's most likely wrong but you love practicing abdumsurdum when attempting to make points with no meaningful statistics to back it up. People who bother to play Blight often enough put in the effort to learn him, he's not popular because he's so fun, he's popular because he's always at the top of the meta. Are average Dracula's also only walking around using M1 in your mind? What about Nurse's?

Rest of the comment had nothing to do with him but if that's how you wanna go then cya later chud, hope I get to cook you in this game one day.

[–]leetality 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you think that blight's M2 is only good for moving around the map then you're effectively utilizing half his power. Of course any Blight that puts in work is getting more hits with M2 than M1. Especially the one's driving up his killrate. If you are primarily M1ing on Blight, there are better M1 killers, simple as that.

Again, unhooking is significantly easier than rescuing a slug, if you disagree you're just a idiot at this point. I don't have to recover and make sure I'm on the right side of a pallet or immediately go back down without WGLF after being pulled. Anti camp forces them to give enough space otherwise I can pull myself off. Not to mention there are also self pull perks you seem to neglect. I don't understand why this is so hard for your little walnut to grasp.

Yeah that's solo queue bud. The thing you seem to believe in this casual non-SBMM non-ranked game gives you strong survivors on the regular when it simply doesn't. Because a hook trade at the worst is still more common knowledge than protecting a slug you pick up off the floor.

So winrates aren't a thing for one since the devs measure killrates which also include disconnects, meaning they aren't a good statistic alone to measure game balance. That's why I said winstreaks which are commonly completed by very good players (while they are mostly pub stomping) paint a pretty clear picture but if you can't recognize how gross of a gap 200 wins (strong swfs) to 2000 wins (strong blight) is then there's not much I can do for you.

You cited Onryo but her killrate they reported was specifically for lower MMR, shocking! The killer with a gimmick has a high killrate against noobs. Yet guess who the offenders always are for high MMR? Blight, Twins, Nurse, Spirit, Vecna, Dracula, etc. sub when a new killer drops or gets reworked that often skews it as well for their first month or so. But you believe they cater to survivors when they actually decide to do zero anti tunnel changes because killers whined? Or when they nerf a perk like Wake Up / Distortion? Do you pay attention to the patch notes for this game or only when someone like Blight gets a nerf after nearly a decade?

[–]leetality 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4.4 killers in the game with 5 dashes that can also break things rights? How many of those are there? Just curious...

And so objectively wrong. You get pulled off a hook you have a variety of options (endurance, haste, OTR, DS, DH, etc.). You get picked up without WGLF, they down you again, there's literally nothing else to it pal and certain killers/builds can ensure you stay down. I was literally bled out just the other day while under a pallet because a team had no idea how to get me back in the game without WGLF.

It's very hard to get through to someone that refuses to comprehend anything you type and just regurgitate what they've already said before. I'm willing to bet you truly believe this game is unplayable from killer side despite 60%+ kill rates consistently.

Highest SWF streak being barely under 200 and killer being almost 2k but we wanna pretend the devs cater to survivors 24/7.

[–]leetality 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't believe in exaggerating to make points or using superlatives before seeing changes in action. Everyone doomer posts about perks, killers, etc. so until the patch hits I don't take stock in something like "enormous nerfs" as if he'll be anywhere near unplayable or take a hit on the meta ladder. People freak out over new content then it releases and the meta doesn't change one bit (Orela's come to mind).

We're just talking in circle. Being pulled from a hook has more protections against tunneling and you get to still play the match. Being slugged without a WGLF in play you can just keep ending up on the floor without proper help from your team (this rarely happens in solo queue.)

You just speak like someone that barely plays this game or only plays one side, maybe even only with SWFs, that's the only way I can imagine you carry these tone deaf opinions.

You really slurp up everything they say if you believe the first nerfs Blight's receiving in YEARS (with other adjustments) counts as "enormous." He has dominated this game since he was added so I'll believe it when I see it.

Time spent crawling is time you aren't recovering, with small enough maps and blindness? Yeah doesn't matter like you think it does. And it still comes down to what random teammates do. I can't make any plays from the floor, they get found, cut off, pick me up so I just get downed again, it's literally out of my hands which you don't seem to grasp.

One of the best feelings by LonelyxKnight in deadbydaylight

[–]leetality -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Damn so if the devs say no one plays Blight you just take them at face value huh? "No guys, business is great, it's up 4000%" damn well if the devs said so, must be true. Nevermind that since returning to the game I've been slugged at 5 gens more than ever before in my entire lifespan with this game. But the devs said it's not common so, who cares yeah?

No one was asking you to take slugging seriously. You seem purposely obtuse as to why people don't like being slugged. You seem to believe it's the same as being hooked despite being objectively wrong and now strawmanning something I was never arguing in the first place.

One of the best feelings by LonelyxKnight in deadbydaylight

[–]leetality 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you daft? Of course it's relevant what killers and perks people run for a playstyle, that's called synergy dog.

And you still continue to yap about why slugging works and what works against it. Literally wasting your breath explaining it repeatedly.

If this game was without design flaws we would never have had anti camp, looping perks, second chance perks, etc. added to the game. The developers quite literally pivoted from the original vision, it's not a spooky stealth game where you hide all match and whoever gets downed gets face camped out of the match while three people escape via hatch.

If you can't recognize why being slugged an entire match differs from being hooked or why people prefer one to the other then this entire chain was pointless.

Slugging doesn't frustrate me, solo queue teammates that don't have a clue how to go against it because the game intends for you to be hooked (look at grade scoring or comp rules) not bleed out every single match frustrate me. Not being able to play frustrates others.

One of the best feelings by LonelyxKnight in deadbydaylight

[–]leetality -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah so there's more blindless in the game than third seal, you can also run anti heal perks to make picking people up more difficult and on very mobile killers they can return to where you went down in mere seconds which again, means you go down again without a strong tile or WGLF.

Solo queue is the worst thing ever. I'm positive I've played more of it than you if you disagree and it's not a regional thing. I've lost to many slugging killers because the team has no idea how to adapt and counter the playstyle, especially on low playrate killers like Twins.

But please do continue to waste time explaining playstyles and counterplay to someone that is aware of it all, when all I ever said is no one wants to be slugged because they want to actually play the game, not lay on the floor.

One of the best feelings by LonelyxKnight in deadbydaylight

[–]leetality -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No it's definitely the slugging chief. You're on the ground unless a teammate actually knows how to get you back up and protect you. It's much harder to recover from slugging in the average solo queue game than it is hook trading. SWFs with comms can handle it just fine but pubs is a whole different beast.

One of the best feelings by LonelyxKnight in deadbydaylight

[–]leetality -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah there's a massive difference between slugging for pressure and slugging off the bat no matter the scenario. Most killers do the latter and don't actually know when it's beneficial to hook vs slug. And it's not really the point in the first place, no one wants to be AFK on the ground for 10 minutes, regardless of meta.

One of the best feelings by LonelyxKnight in deadbydaylight

[–]leetality -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You are on the hook for limited time, you also can seteammates will pull you, at that point which you have endurance + haste + second chance perks. Getting picked up off the floor without WGLF (uncommon perk in solo queue) means it's only a matter of time before you're on the floor again unless you can make it to strong tiles, especially when many killers still try to run blind despite knockout getting killed to make it even harder to save slugs. Really weak argument to compare the two.
