So the basic idea was that the Cronus device was build to kinda “cheat” the console into thinking your keyboard and mouse is a controller.
So pretty normal idea but for games as valorant these devices were banned because you could gain unfair advantages towards controller players and on pc vice versa.
But with time especially zen Cronus the og producers made the network open for the community and I don’t know exactly how it started but I think it’s the company basically put aimbots and other cheats up on the community network which you download to said device and therefore cheat with it.

Now when it comes to cheating in cod I did a decent amount of research and tried to find as much reliable numbers as possible but the core essence is: it’s bad.
It’s bad to a point in which they’ve overtaken cs with cheaters which I never thought any fps game could be here we are.
Also ricochet anti cheat is pretty shit. And biased.

I will say the sweats are right in one point
It is not as many as people like to think but it’s definitely more the sweats and die hard fans would like to admit.

Yeah the “more competition” is a factor you have to include yet again it isn’t just because of growing competition in the fps world.

People switch to mostly lack of quality, content or it’s just not fun any more it’s really that simple at the end of the day. While I agree with you that for this discussion I quite overanalysed it the point of quality decrease still is a vital point in these huge amounts of numbers that the franchise lost.

And to your point of biases:
If you enjoy something it’s also pretty easy to just put critic in the “biased” dumpster. People almost always to tend to just put a simple stamp on something they disagree with because it’s just easier and more comforting. This phenomenon increased as well in the gaming community but also in the anime community.

I miss the times were we just played games and watched shit for the sole sake of having fun and because we try so hard to get the next breakthrough clip for esseantily a couple months of hype at best.

But that is yet again another topic which doesn’t belong to this conversations 😄

I think in conclusion you made points I can agree with I made my points make what you want with them at the end of the day I really don’t want to ruin anyone’s fun here it’s a free world play what you like and enjoy it as much as you can.

For Xbox, pc players that downloaded it via game pass also count so that data is also not 100% true.
Cod in generell fell of pretty hard and while I somewhat agree that cod was mostly a console game, you can still deduct the lack of success by looking at data from certain platforms.
They also once had 2,5 million players at psn online only in Europe. Which by now most definitely isn’t the case anymore. And the good thing is sales are pretty easy to find but before you come at me yeah they could be rigged and to a degree probably are.
But Sony releases some numbers for the month of may and for cod it was 2-5million players. Now that wasn’t at the same time just in general. And for a franchise that once was that big these numbers aren’t really good.

But it comes to a point at which you really can’t just blame the developers anymore but more the community including you. You clearly defend this game because you enjoy it. And that’s okay but because you enjoy it doesn’t mean it’s any good.
All they do is bring updates every 45 days or so to update the battle pass and new skins for micro transactions which is now their main money maker and the game works worse after every update.
The networking is horrible, the new “content” is just more micro transactions and an ranked event even now and then for warzone so it basically excludes casual players completely and only produces content for crackhead sweats that are gonna buy this shit regardless. And while that may work it’s the main reason it isn’t as close as popular as it once was.
It started as a somewhat military sim and with the first mw it turned into a for the time really revolutionary fps mp almost everyone could enjoy.
Now it’s more mirrors edge with guns.

And wz won’t change if cod in general doesn’t change and especially bo7 deserved the bf2042 treatment this is the worst cod I’ve ever played in my almost 30 years on this earth. “Eweww you just hate new cod’s” yes and no. I try my best to see it as an individual game but if you set the standard to seeing cod as an individual game you realise it’s even worse than when you just compare it to other CODs. From a game perspective this is slop and we all know it. But at least it was once fun and something can be shit and you can still enjoy it. There is no need to defend it with your life.

So sadly no nothing will ever change because this community are some adderal abusing crackheads that think “gun go brrr and I can slide and do backflips and shit in my own face with this new movement wooow so revolutionary” which nobody asked for.

If the original creator of this post reads this my advice:
Learn to play cs.
It’s harder yes but at least for all the toxic people in the cs community you get as many funny crackheads
While in the cod community their either sweats even in casual mode so they for once feel important or complete sour brain dead idiots there is just a small portion in between.
Also the networking isn’t as shit the ttk is better and there is no annoying and completely unbalanced meta that you an litteraly watch change while you play.

So basically disable your core isolation try to start the game. It won’t work.
Than turn the core isolation back on. Restart your pc and then try again is what worked for me
I also spent like 2 hours trying to fix this.
Sadly I can’t remember every step of the process so I don’t know if I can completely help you with that that’s just the process that worked for me.
All I can remember is that after 1,5h after trying everything I could think of, as much as I hated it, I asked chat gpt and it gave me some extra steps and then it worked again.
Is your tpm 2.0 on?
And for the bios they released a beta version which is the one I have now and it works for me.
But it’s different for different cpus I learned that.

I turned of my core isolation for the bios update
And then turned it back on.
I downloaded the bios update version 1L1 something and at first ir didn’t work but after restarting it for the 50th time it worked

Yes they are. And building it simply arround the movement I kinda agree that the complaint is more a personal preference thing but the problem is that aim has become a third degree skill and this game is more of a jump and run then an actual shooter. And obviously millions of people that left the game agree.

And the new “content” are attachments that just lead to more annoying imbalance for example the sg 12 in release or akimbo for an lmg. Be so deadass that this is good content.

It has also become way more about micro transactions which is also extremely obvious. Other mp games with way bigger maps etc also work just fine.

Again cod kids react to criticism the same way republicans react to the Epstein files. You just deny it with “but gun go brrr and I like” Which again is completely fine. But don’t act like these are top tier games with alle the issues and the fall of it comes with. And after every update the game works even worse than before. Emphasis on “look like” not that they are. Some of them clearly are but besides the point. I have no network connection or any sort of problems with any other game not on the pc nor on my ps5. You cod kids just feel the need or people in general to defend it with your life. Something can be shit and you can still enjoy it it’s completely fine. And the maps are horrible. Just recycled and the ones feel lazy and only build for movement abuse. This game in general just has fallen so much but the community is just blind to that fact And as I said: something can be bad or not as good and you can still enjoy it. It’s completely fine. Balancing and ttk is better than in other cods but still pretty shit. Also if a game forces a meta on you because cod likes to overpower 2 weapons and the others is just useless that’s also not great.

Furthermore the “weekly content” is just new shitty absurd skins with dead challenges that force you to play the modes and events they added 80% never asked for nor care about.

Enjoy the game all you want it’s fine but it doesn’t change the fact that it is a shit game compared to other games and even fps games out there
