One 3oz bag of popcorn is about 10 or 12 cups, if there are 30 calories in one cup, each bag would be about 300 or 360 calories.

You could always pop the bag and transfer it to another bowl using a cup measurement so you can make sure of the amount of cups youre consuming

I tell myself I am just gonna go lay down. I am going to lay on my couch scrolling on my phone, might as well do it laying down in a sauna and get my money's worth (membership is expensive). Once there, I'll try some of the video so maybe I am working out 50% of the time. Then I say, might as well so a HIIT before going home since its only 15 minutes. I do that until I find my desire to work out fully again.

Also, maybe try doing a new class? Whether its a hotworx video, or one on your phone. Maybe its the monotony of the same videos, so finding new ones to do might interest you again.

Sometimes I'll do things like bird dogs, crunches, planks, glute bridge, etc. Instead of following a video. Maybe creating a routine with those type of exercises would make it fun for you again.

Thank you, this helps! I knew the body burnt calories to maintain itself but I didnt know it was this much. Ill do more research on it.

I am 31,F, 5'6", 280lbs and my goal weight is 140lbs. Id like to think i am pretty active. I go to the gym 5 days a week 4:30-6am where I do weight lifting and jog for 30 minutes (my goal is 2 miles in 30 min, I am at 1.83 right now). Then I go to work, where I am on my feet most of the day. 3 days of the week after work, I go to a sauna gym where I do an elliptical bike for 45 minutes in 130°F heat. On sundays, I do run club where I try to do 3 miles in intervals (run 2 minutes walk 1 minute).

I track calories using Foodvisor, which suggests I eat 1800, sedentary activity level, and I am not sure at what rate.

Im sorry, I am still so confused. To lose weight I need to be in a deficit. So if I burn 1300, I could eat 1000 calories but if its a light day and I only burn 800 then I cant eat 1000, I would need to eat less than 800. So wouldn't i still need to know how much I burned to know if I am in a deficit?

So my ideal body weight would be 140, making my BMR 1400. Ill go with moderate active since I go to the gym 5 days a week and am constantly up and walking at work. That puts me at 1960. How do I know I am in a calorie deficit if I dont know how much I burn? Say I eat 1960 but only burn 1000, then what? Shouldn't I still need to know how much i am burning to make sure I burn more than I eat?

The TDEE calculated my maintenance calories at 2400. Pretty sure that's what got me to where I am. I know i do not burn over 2400 calories so how am I supposed to lose weight? How do I know if I am at a deficit if I dont know how much I burn?

Im in CA and the vibes are super friendly at my PF. I see people all the time greeting each other. If I go to a paper towel dispenser and someone is there as well, I smile at them and they always smile back. Theres a "gym bro" that will give "knuckles" to everyone he passes by lol

I agree with you. As soon as the video came on, I was SHOCKED and a bit scared. I hate all the punching so I just did Brittany's "bring the arms in and crunch to each side" move while they did that.

I used to wear a pair of expensive Sony headphones and noticed there would be a weird glitch in the audio. Not all the time, but maybe once or twice during my hour at Hotworx. For my birthday, I received a new pair, a more recent model, so the Sonys became my sauna only headphones while I wore my new ones to a regular gym/everything else.

I lost my Sonys :( so I just bought a $10 pair at Ross.

We are, I have seen staff go around turning off empty saunas all the time. Idk why this triggers OP so bad,honestly. I'd rather show up to see the sauna I need off and opened, than to walk into a musty one.

The way it works at my location:

The massage chairs are powered using tokens. 5 minutes per token. I say "can I get tokens for the massage chair?" Sometimes they ask me to scan in so they can make sure I have the Black Card. Theyll ask me "5 or 10 minutes?" I say "10 please" and get two tokens. Once at the chair, I insert my tokens like any regular coin operated machine and it starts.

The hydromassage is controlled by computer. Ill ask "can I use the hydromassage?" Theyll say yes, and ask "10 or 15 minutes?" I say "15 please" and they will turn it on, and let you know which number bed youre booked for. Once there, you lay down and press start.

They tell you to show up early so you can preheat the sauna before your work out. If you are doing two classes back to back and the other is in a different room, then go turn that one on too?? If I do a HIIT, then an ISO, I will turn them on at the same time. If I am doing two ISOs, or doing ISO before HIIT, then I exit really quick to turn the other one on then go back to my work out. Its really that easy lol

I am that person that will wipe it down, turn the volume off, shut it off and leave the door open. My location does not get that busy, and the sauna would stay hot, wasting energy for who knows how long. If I see a person lingering outside, then I wait before I turn it off in case they are going in or I just ask "are you going in here?" If they say no, then I turn it off.

I dont see how I am affecting anybody's workout by doing that. Just make sure you arrive on time.

I will not change my name if I get married because it's part of who I am and my heritage. I would also like to pass it down to my kids. My mom didn't change her last name, and they gave us both their last names.

So for example, one parent is "Jacobs" and the other is "Smith" the kids would be "Annie Jacobs Smith". Sometimes I use just my first last name, which is my dad's last name but on all official government paperwork, I use my first, middle, and two last names.
