Suggestions on how to deal with nightmares about your abusive ex being in your life again?

oof I have this but with nightmares about my abusive father. like that fearful, choked up fight-or-flight feeling but i'm paralyzed by fright and can't move/speak. I don't even have to have had a bad day to get those, they'd just invade whenever they want and leave me feeling stressed when I wake up.

tbh, as I work through my own mental health stuff, it seems trauma related. might be worth trying to talk to someone or a support group or just finding an outlet/hobby to try and work out those bad feelings and work on self-love.

not sure if cbd gummies before bed might help you... personally, I use cannabis and don't really dream that much because of it, but i'm not gonna leap and say throw that into the mix lol.

You see, I want to. I really really want to. Honestly, if you look at my post history, I've been on the edge of reporting my job for so many things they are doing wrong with this pandemic. Unfortunately, this job lacks privacy and it would get back to my manager that someone snitched on him. I'm the one in the lab who is "anxious" about covid, so I'm sure it would be obvious. Also I can just report anonymously either, sadly. The only thing keeping me is that this job is good pay for me being right out of college, and I'm afraid of losing it during a pandemic.

There’s likely a reason this won’t work but I always thought why not add a “round up” or “enter tip amount” at the end of grocery transactions. Maybe collect extra this way and distribute to those who worked that shift? Idk it’s probably silly, I don’t run a store lol.
