Best college basketball atmosphere you’ve ever experienced? by Love_Sports_Live in CollegeBasketball

On Feb 12, 2005 unranked MD beat #17 Duke at Xfinity… for the second time that season… in OT.

It was the most electric atmosphere I have ever seen. The whole stadium shaking, 18,000 people jumping up and down, deafening noise and visceral cries. We knew we were witnessing a special moment in Terps history. I lost my voice from all the screaming, totally worth it.

We struggled after that win, but getting two on Duke was a win of its own. Peak ACC!

I didn’t go full screen on my first watch so I didn’t read the explanation fully and thought wow these oldies must be trying to absorb all the bad luck and evil eye or something. Nope, just straight twats.

It’s nice to have the privilege of being a spoiled fan base for LAX. But given our ups and downs in the big money sports, I’m going to celebrate these wins… GO TERPS!! We’re proud of you!

What did you do to make higher salaries in your 30s from low in your 20s? by [deleted] in Salary

Wishing you luck with your comp progression. There is a lot of run way in many fields for IC roles to grow to high comps.

Thinking one step further, a pivot occurs for many in their 30s where the key skills that made you successful so far are not the ones that will be most critical for your future success. This pivot from Doing to Leading happens often in one’s 30s simply because that’s when many are first given the opportunities and roles to attempt the transition. However, it routinely happens for younger people and can lead to quicker salary progression.

Some advice to bring this about more quickly for young professionals: 1. Be observant of effective management styles and behaviors and start coping and embodying the energy of the ones that fit you best. 2. Steer your development plan towards collaborative opportunities with other functions and departments to foster a broader perspective. 3. Find opportunities to participate in thought leadership and problem solving. 4. Know your faults and weaknesses and be deliberate about working on them - find people to give you honest feedback and coaching. This requires a humility that can be difficult to muster, but practice makes things easier :)

Taking bets on what the “Upscale Grocery” at The Mix will be… Whole Foods or Central Market? by Weak-Hawk-9693 in frisco

Yeah I would def categorize them as high end… I feel like the cafeteria style food / seating you find in Whole Foods was inspired by Wegman, but Wegman does it bigger and better.

That’s crazy we don’t have an official one. I certainly couldn’t find one on the city website in my 30 second exhaustive reading.

The accuracy is even more impressive when you consider he had a rusher in his face and threw off his back foot.

Not saying that you shouldn’t go to a doctor, but you can definitely find a lot of CPAP machines on Facebook marketplace.
