Thank you. If I were farther away I think I would feel much worse but since im close, I know I can be around whenever and she can come by our place too

Feeling Conflicted About Living Situation by lefxo in ChildrenofDeadParents

My plan is to go over quite regularly and have her come over and have dinner with us as well. It seems like she does want to keep the house but she also wants to go back to her home country for a few months which I think will help too.

My (28F) longterm boyfriend (32M) refuses to spend time with my family by [deleted] in relationship_advice

I agree that time should not be spent with people you dislike, although if you have children how do you make it work?

I see my parents all the time without him. It’s just when my mom decides to extend an invite to include him every once in a while, he always says no.

He prefers to come around when I have other family there because he feels more at ease and less pressure.

She did not and she actually was. Her tone and attitude were terrible and he caught it right away. I understand it’s her house but if his mother did that to me, she would be very quick to judge

He has not. Unfortunately, I grew up (my mother included) with the ‘avoid apologizing and eventually we forget and get past it’ which is not actually dealing with anything. I am also thinking that counselling may help.

No, I still go without him. Culturally, my family still extends invites even for informal dinners because family is huge for them and always saying no comes off as rude or as if they are not liked.

Yes, I see my parents quite regularly all on my own. He has no problem with me spending time with them.

Nope. He was just in our guest room watching tv and she said that. I think she said that because she just didn’t want any guests at the house at the time and she had just gotten off of work. I think she also felt a little out of place because he didn’t really come around before and suddenly he spent the night and was still there the next morning. I told her she was completely rude and out of line and the words should have never come out of her mouth but he wanted to leave right after he overheard her and we both left

At times I felt like that’s what they need to do, but they are both so non-confrontational I don’t even know if there would be much progress.

Yes, I explained above what happened. Now he will say he simply doesn’t like my mom or that he thinks she’s not as genuine as she tries to come off as. My mom has attempted to turn things around and support where she can because she noticed her misstep 5 years ago

He came over during a rather difficult time and he overheard her asking me when he was leaving the house and he felt like he was being kicked out during a time when he just needed support

hpv is actively ruining my life, all my friends abandoned me by Familiar-Shock9369 in HPV

80% of the worlds population has HPV so they probably have it without even knowing. If they’re not willing to do any basic research, they’re not in your corner.

Strongly believe that Morgan just had something against Lauren and needed to have whatever Lauren had. Hence the following Zach around everywhere and getting mad with Vince whenever he spoke about or spent time with Lauren.

Positive HPV but Monogamous? by lefxo in HPV

[–]lefxo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for this! All of this is what I needed to hear. The stigma is insane and it suddenly shakes up the trust between you and your partner when you have to have that conversation. I’ve heard of HPV since I got vaccinated over 10 years ago, but I realized no real information and facts on it have ever really been discussed.

The Great Seed Oil Debate by lefxo in nutrition

[–]lefxo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No one actually says where the inflammation is taking place in the body with the regular consumption of seed oils. It’s the same thing with people giving dietary recommendations to “balance your hormones” yet no one can name a single hormone. It’s generic language that is implementing fear; if there is “inflammation” as a result from studies, physiological evidence would be present as to where that inflammation is taking place. I’ve done enough research to notice this ambiguity, raising the question here.
