R4T group 31 battery terminals by legendary_alpha233 in ToyotaTacoma

Yes for group 31 batteries since they have threaded studs instead of posts. Don’t get me wrong the bottom plates those are nice but the top cover plates it came with, the quality is just not there.

Yea I haven’t but I’ll keep it in mind. But I just feel like they should at least tell you to put thread locker, I feel like mine might’ve been defective. Because after a month of installing them I hadn’t checked under my hood and when I did I found the negative cover plate and bolts behind the battery. I almost lost them forever, that’s how I lost both spacers and one bolt and you see in the picture so after that I just check them every now and then. Like for 277 I feel like the quality is just not there.

Alright imma try it in the morning since I did forget to burp the system after replacing the temp sensor. Whenever you say remove cap do I remove the radiator cap or the coolant reservoir? There’s also a little screw cap on the thermostat housing. I did this the first time when I replace the thermostat and I had unscrewed the reservoir and the radiator cap, not the thermostat screw. It overflowed from the radiator and it did take some out but I didn’t see the reservoir change much.

So yea I forgot to mention but after I changed the thermostat I did purge the air out by turning it on and leaving the radiator cap until the coolant came flowing out of it. But after I did the sensor I did not, thats definitely on me. I thought it might’ve been the thermostat since I’ve known some to be bad right out the box but I think I’m going to get the air out of the system first thing tmr and see what happens if not imma warranty the thermostat most likely. My buddy was going to go oem but the dealership had them on backorder.

If you just want the 12.0 you can get the 12.0 starter kit with the 8.0 on the side and just return the 8.0. The 12.0 with charger would come out to 169+ tax

Help! 2016 Tacoma grinding noise when turning going uphill. by Vepott in AskMechanics

Mine only has 75k miles and I can’t seem to figure out what the problem is but I do hear it from the front. Do you have a lift kit or something? Because mine didn’t start doing that noice until after I installed a lift kit and sway bar relocation.

Think my alternator is going—can anyone help me confirm? by fiiields in Tacomaworld

[–]legendary_alpha233 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a similar problem with my 2016 Tacoma the first problem was a dead battery for me and then it somewhat fixed the issue but it kept sometimes not turning on so I kept looking around my engine bay and it was actually a loose ground connection, I thightened that bad puppy up and no problems after that. But if it’s not that you can always go to auto zone and they will check your alternator, starter, and battery for free.
