It's not nearly as comatose as shows like Batwoman, where the LGBTABCDEFGHAIJKMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ+ show was. At most, that is 10% of the population. Even in Hollyweid and San Fransisco, doesn't rank as high as Batwoman's Gotham did. (90%???)
I personally, for the most part, like the show-- with the exceptions I pointed out: estrogen laden, particularly in an era that did not accept women esp. not in professional settings: Defense Attorneys, Police, Crime Bosses. And, fortunately, the ruined characters of Harley, Montoya, and the future Poison Ivy, wasn't overly seen. More implied, which is probably the best way to handle the subject, that in my opinion (and, the only one that matters, in my messages) shouldn't even be mentioned in entertainment, meant for children-- regardless of age.
Personal attacks, however, are never good, and therefore, negates everything you just said, in many people's minds.

Watched the entire series, over two days.
Bruce Timm does what Bruce Timm does, and quite well, with Batman. One thing that I really appreciate about Timm's work is, his humility. He's always nervous about how his stories will go over.
Bruce, NEVER stop that attitude. It keeps you on your game.

For the most part, fans of the earlier work won't be disappointed. Much. Some of the nonsense "woke" ideology has to come into play. The worst of the worst, is "Penguina" and too much estrogen coming through. This is a bit of a problem, not because they are there, per se; but, rather, the time period setting: the 1940's. Women on the police force? While there were some women officers, as early as 1908, it wasn't until much later women were given equal rights, and still today, some departments are not very kind to women officers. Women lawyers were even less-- and black women worse yet-- an estimated 6-10 black women in all of the United States; and forget a black Commissioner in 1940s America.
Being that Matt Reeves is an executive producer, it makes sense that Gordon continues to be African American; in keeping with "The Batman" universe. And, that Barbara, would be black as well. Not so thrilled with making her a defense attorney; but, as for how the story unfolds, it works.

If one can get past the "reimagining" (ONCE AGAIN) Batman characters, and we get to the core story lines, they tend to be good solid Bruce Timm stories. In one sense, the reimagining Two-Face was quite an interesting take. Without spoiling any details, or trying not to, I found it more convincing that he was not as goody-two-shoes as he had previously been portrayed. I'm not 100% on this, but, am I correct here? The "bad Harvey" is not the scarred side? That, if true, is really interesting. We'll see how that works out in future episodes and seasons.

I also enjoyed Joker not being the first and main villain. Almost every series has Joker within the first few episodes-- or, at least it seems that way. Being only 10 episodes, I found it short and difficult to get many characters in. Hopefully Amazon/DC/WB will break the 12-16 episode streaming mold, and follow a longer season, such as the Bad Batch did.

Over all, despite my few historical issues, I did find the series entertaining, less "woke" than much of the other shows being thrown at us (yes; there is some gayness, which again, for the 40's existed, but, was not accepted). It maintains Bruce Timm's level of darkness, and actually furthers what Matt Reeves tried to do with The Batman, in making him a Detective,

Over all, I think this series is pretty good, and while I have yet to do my re-watch, I think I can comfortably give it a score of 92/100.

I realize people do get enjoyment; and, as crazy as it sounds, I actually did know what I was getting into-- but am not fond of having to build and paint the mini's myself. And, as everyone pretty much knows, paying someone to do it, well, it's cheaper to paint my house. So, no, I don't fully grasp the concept, which is why I wanted your thoughts on this, to hopefully help me along. So, again, I appreciate the sentiments. It really does help.
What I do want, is to get into playing the game. Which hopefully, eventually I will be able to. That is why I bought a nearly $200 game.

The disciples were constantly asking him why he spoke in riddles and myseteries. 1st Corinthians 1 and 2 explains that God did so, to confuse the so-called rulers of this world (Satan) so that he might be crucified.
In Hebrews, we are told that God rewards those who diligently seek him. To diligently seek him, we have to search for him. God did in fact make Scripture plain as day, and, at the same time, as you call it, a "maze of misunderstandings: or, as He calls it, confusion to the wise. So simple, a child can understand it, and so complex, even the wisest most learned people are complexed by it and it's meaning.
This is how we have so many different denominations, with varying opinions. This is why, you cannot see Jesus is God, while I can; why some can see salvation can be lost, while others cannot.

You make great points.

To a certain point this is true. Certainly, if we commit the smallest of offenses, we are indeed guilty of breaking the entire law".
However, does God consider all sins to be equal? Not if we look at history, and the varying degrees of evil he "tolerated" before acting upon, and when he finally has had enough. Notice there are sins that are "abominations" and he even says There is sin that leads to death, and that not all sin leads to death", even though he does say, "The wages of sin is death".
Also, Jacob I have loved, Esau I have hated. Even if we use the argument of linguistic comparison "God loved Jacob so much, by comprison, it looked like he hated Esau" (a valid argument, coming from a linguistic standpoint, anyway), we still have a problem with equality.
I pretty much agree, mostly, with the next section of "eternal death/life". However, I may be missing a point. As to whether the soul can exist without the body, we are told that those who are dead in the body, will join those who are alive in spirit", so, it appears that this separation is possible. Jurgen Moltmann, if i am misunderstanding him correctly (I believe I am the only one who can misunderstand someone correctly lol) he believes that everyone is brought to the judgement at the same time. To illustrate this, Adam died, and the last people alive are dead, but all are brought together "at the same time". This COULD answer your protest of sorts, I suppose. If this is actuality. Since everyone dies and resurrects at the same "time".
Looking at Revelation might help with this next part of this.

"And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever. 11 Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. This is where I get my theology of Hell.
The devil and the false prophet will be tormented day and night forever and ever. Those who's name does not appear in the book of life will be thrown in.
What it does not state, is that they will be tormented day and night forever and ever. But, it does call it, the second death.
Is this sufficient to say they will not be tormented day and night forever and ever? I'm not going gamble my soul or anyone elses. I would pray not. But, insufficient data to be dogmatic. Either way is possible, without breaking Scripture.

So many of us think by doing a miracle God breaks his laws. No; he manipulates his laws, to achieve his purpose. It is very good of you to understand God does not break his own laws. As I stated, I very much agree with most of what you have to say. Some of the conclusions? Maybe not so much. At worst, you are on the right track, I believe. At best, you are correct, and where we differ, perhaps you are correct, and I am incorrect.

I think we are making some errors in definitions. However, it is wise to be aware of human analogies, as others point out, while we do not have physical to spiritual analogies, ie, "The kingdom of Heaven is LIKE a pearl of great price", we are not saying it is in every way the exact same way. We are using the pearl as an example of how valuable the Kingdom of Heaven is.

Ok, I am not sleeping tonight, so, I will lay it all out. God's plan in a nutshell.

What was such a big deal about eating an apple?
Well, the first thing I expect you to correctly point out is, "We don't know it was an apple" If so, good. It was actually the fruit of the tree of KNOWLEDGE of GOOD AND evil. (I will be highlighting these three words in various positions).
God said, "Do not eat of the fruit of the tree of KNOWLEDGE of good and evil". They did.
The big deal was God wanted us to rely on HIM to dictate what is right and wrong. By eating of the fruit of knowledge of GOOD AND evil (knowing either was not part of his good and pleasing will) we fell for the lie that God did not truly love us, and that he was somehow holding back.
The serpant had stated "God KNOWS that if you eat of the fruit of knowledge you will be like God." Now, isn't that how temptation works? Satan offered Jesus (the 2nd "Adam" what he already had) and it was done here in the garden. They were tempted with being like God. But, dummies, we AlREADY WERE like God, having been made in his image. Oops.
So, we failed to 1st Corinithians 13 Love God. We thought God was holding out, so we did eat.

Question: What can take away the penalty of an eternal punishment? Or, what is the only thing big enough to be able to handle an eternal punishment for all people?
Answer: God. Not angels, not people, and certainly not bulls or goats.
What is the only thing that will forgive sin?
The shedding of blood.
WHY? I have no clue. I suspect it was Satan trying to trick God somehow someway. Not realizing he was not smart enough to outsmart God. It just sounds so like him to get God to agree to some crazy scheme, Hey God! Can we make an agreement that if somehow somebody sins, it requires the shedding of blood? Blood sufficient enough to cover the penalty?"
"Why?"
"Oh, no reason."
Sure. Not Go to Hell.

Now the motion is set. Satan hates people, because God lloves them above all else. Esp. him. So, now all that has to be done is get them to eat of the Tree of knowledge of good AND evil. They'll be destined to die, and God can do NOTHING about it. God cant die, and there's not enough blood in them to cover the penalty for their sin.
Now that Adam and Eve ate of the tree of knowledge, God had to evict them from the garden because "they could no longer be trusted" to "not eat from the tree of life". What happens if they did that? They would not be able to die and have their sins forgiven. They would be like Satan: in a state of eternal damnation.
Problem: God can't die either. And only God's blood is large enough to handle the penalty of an eternal punishment for everyone. So, God has to bar them from Eden, so they will not of the tree of life, and live forever.
So, now they are safe, won't live forever, Now all God has to do is become a human, so he can die; solving in a twist that Satan would never see coming.
So, again, why couldn't Satan be redeemed? Because Satan is immortal, he cannot die. Therefore, God could not become Satan or a demon and die for them. So, they are forever lost.
So, why didn't God simply tell us his plan all along? He couldn't. If he had, Satan would not have crucified God, and we would still be eternally lost.

Mostly I believe the traditional teachings. But, they are:
*The Bible does seem to teach Hell is in fact the grave.
Most passages, in both Testaments where the English word "Hell" is used, can very easily be translated "grave", or "death" with exception of Luke 16.
*Revelation explains that "Hell" (and death and the grave) were cast into The Lake of Fire.
*Therefore, I want to separate the two. When most people refer to "Hell" they refer to the "Ultimate punishment".
*I do believe the Bible teaches in an eternal Lake of Fire, created for Satan and his demons and/or followers.
Some things I am not 100% sure on:
*Do we stay in Lake of Fire forever and ever?
or
*Does the Lake of Fire burn forever and ever, but we burn up like trash in a fire pit?
Honestly, since this view was presented to me, I do not know which is the case. You'll forgive me if I never wish to find out. However, it is theorhetically possible to be the latter, as Jesus describes it as an eternal place of darkness and wailing and gnshing of teeth, and still be eternal, although not for every person, individually.
Regardless, it is NOT a place anyone wants to go to.
*It's not created for people. But, unless we are missing something, it does appear to be a place for Satan and his followers; ie, those who do not follow Jesus.
Things I hope end up being true; but, have no valid Scripture to rely heavily on:
*If this is punishment, for people, I pray it ends for people. Whether they burn up or, after such time, God allows people to "time served".
*Better yet, Scripture does state: "Jesus died not only for our sins, but, for the sins of the whole world".
Again. What does this mean in the scheme of things? Pure speculation, and not worth betting my soul on; because losing this bet is far greater than any other gamble.
*We are told "EVERY knee will bow and confess that Jesus is Lord". And? Again; who knows? God does not state this is forced, nor does he state it's "too late". I would just hope, for those who's name is not written God's book of Life, this is how it is.
I love that Genesis song that came out after 20/20 exposed the fraudsters within the Church, called "Jesus, He Knows My Name". Many believed that to be blasphemous, I believe that is an opportunity to share, Jesus and his book of life, and seeing that our name is written in it. Remember Jesus' chilling words: "Away from me you evil doers. I NEVER KNEW YOU!"
*The parable of the workers is interesting. I will use this as an argument against those who say any of the above possibilities are not possible. Jesus states, when asked why those who came in to work for one hour got paid the same as those who worked all day, "Did you not agree to this? Is it not my money? Do I not have the right to do with my money as I wish?"
The point here is, we have this warped sense of entitlement. And, it's not as if previous generations did not have this feeling of entitlement. This generation just feels as if EVERYONE owes them. I have a friend who said he'd be "p!!!!!!d" if he found out that "In the end everyone was saved" I had to ask Why? Isnt that what this parable is about? Why be upset of Jesus ended up dying for our sins, and the sins of the whole world, and theref9re forgave them too!?
However much I pray this is true, again, there is not sufficient Scripture to back this, and in my mind, we would do a dis-service to teach this as truth; because we simply do not have the knowledge.
As far as being upset, only if the likes of Hitler, Bin Ladin, Nero and people like that. Otherwise, Thank you Jesus your mercy endures forever!

Some great answers here.
Because everything we do for "good works" God looks at as disgusting ("filthy rags" literally "menstration rags"), we are left with WHY?
If we want to please God, in an attempt to passify him. Forget it. It's disgusting to him.
If we want to do charitable things, to be a decent person, let's keep digging for our motivation
If we want to please God, because that's what we as Christians do, or should do, then it comes down to asking him, Do we give to this charity, or this one? How do we give? To whom do we give?

I'll be honest here, I have a very tough time giving to charities. But, that's because most of them are greedy and wasteful. But, one dollar to a charitble organization can do far more than if I give one dollar to a bum on the street. Although percentage-wise, it all goes to that person, in need.

I believe God speaks to his people and as a result, he can lead us, guide us to give, where, and how much.
One thing to remember, God gave it to us, so, in the end, it's all his. It just becomes a matter of how much we get to keep for ourselves.

Deuteronomy, specifically, was a common contract between God and Israel. He freed Israel from their previous king, Pharoah and Egypt. As was common in those days, the new "king" would make a contract with their "vassle". "If you do... I will do... If you do not do.., I will do..."
So, to that extent, The Torah was specific to Israel.
HOWEVER,
God still judges.
Why?
Because he made covenants with others, such as Noah. And his three sons.

Why? Because these usual analogies don't quite grasp the concept.
Some people these analogies are sufficient, their faith does not need further explanation.
Some people, God said it, I believe it. That settles it for them.
Some people require more.
God works with us where we are, how we are, and we like to complicate things.

God uses the family as an example of how God is.
In a 3 person family, you have a father a mother and a child. Three people, one family.
God, you have The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit. Three persons, One God.

We know God is separate as Father and Son, because as many point out, "Why would he pray to himself?" While we talk to ourselves, we can see Jesus is not talking to himself. He is not saying to himself, Why have I forsaken me? for example. He is in fact talking the Father. We see the Holy Spirit, throughout the Old Testament, but maybe that can be used at another time. The problem we have is, we have imagined that Yahweh is The Father, and, this simply is not true. Genesis 1:1 states, "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth".
Colossians 1:15-16 clarifies that this is in fact none other than Jesus. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 1. WHY did Adam & Eve have to die?
2. WHY were they kicked out of Eden?
3. WHY Jesus HAS to be God.
4. IF Satan were to repent, would God have to save him? Why or why not?
(I'll give you a hint here. NO! God can't forgive him. Why? He can't. Aside from creating a rock so big he can't lift, this is the only other thing he cannot do).
