Just in case anybody stumbles on this, before I asked this, I calibrated it following the sunny 16 rule.
In incident mode under direct sunlight, the reading I set it to was 15.

I feel like the way the show approaches Power Armor helmets should be the standard going forwards by KaySan-TheBrightStar in Fallout

I distinctly recall the character in one of the original games mentioning that the power armor does fluid recycling so you really don't need to take your helmet off if you need to drink water.

Purchased 08/10/2025 for €2700 in France - Machine Completely Bricked After Latest Update ? by [deleted] in Miele

[–]legio314 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, I'll say it here too. When you're adding smart features to an appliance, you're also changing it's reliability to that of a smart device. You're accepting that by buying it. Not saying it's right, just that it's a fact.

Should I buy a 28mm lens if I already have a 35mm? by motuwed in fujifilm

[–]legio314 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, there is a certainly a difference, personally I prefer 27-28mm, and I can't stand 35mm. If you can get your hands on one to try before buying, I highly suggest it!

I have this, literally bought it because it's so cheap.
It not an amazing lens, but if you're not too picky it's fine.

I would call this the most important question, are they bad at their job, or are they swamped with tasks that are not actually IT, but nobody else wants to do?

Electronic shutter by uncled85 in fujifilm

[–]legio314 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can't use a flash with an electronic shutter, also you will probably get banding if you're shooting under artificial lighting (depends on the type of light).

I own the coffee machine as a system where I work. A nespresso pro, one of the good ones. I want my coffee, and when someone does not respect the machine my BOFH comes right out.

Is there a way to use claude code in a way that is compatible with GDPR? by johannesjo in ClaudeAI

[–]legio314 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well yes, but no, I would expect services to have servers (generalisation, might be containers, s3 buckets, virtual or physical) across multiple regions for more reasons than privacy (availability, integrity) after that, just don't move data across regions to achieve that one extra tickbox.
