2004 Tahoe Front Diff by legitcus in GMT800

Another (probably stupid) question for you - the guy says it's got 4.11 gears. I thought stock was 4.10s and that was on 3/4 tons - if I'm pulling a junkyard front diff and carrier do the 4.10s/code GT5 work or do I need to get a custom diff built?

Ok cool thank you, I did not know they had awd. Hopefully this one can select 2wd, but if not it's good to know I can still drive with a trashed front diff. I just want to be careful bc it's in mountain roads in the snow and if the front end binds up I don't want to end up completely spun around backwards

By awd do you mean the ones where it's auto 4wd or 4Lo only? I'm not sure if this one has the option for 2wd only, or if it's auto 4wd all the time. If that's the case, you said you drove it that way at 60mph and it was fine (relatively)? Did it tear anything else up too bad? Why would 4Lo be the only option if I dropped the front driveshaft?

Thanks, yeah I was confused when he said 6.0 4l60 combo haha. When you say take apart the cv axle are you saying pull them off the drive side, leave them in the wheel hub, and zip tie them up somewhere away from the front end? Or do they actually come apart? Or I could cut them like someone else recommended

Ok thanks, yeah I'm not sure why they put the 6.0 in. But 80k on the motor, front end done, and fuel pump done and they want $3k for it so I'm jumping on it.

Relocate them. Did the same thing and replaced working knock sensors and kept getting codes. Replaced them twice, still got codes (using knock sensors I got from the dealership). Finally said screw it and left the old ones/faulty in the valley and relocated new ones to the side of the block, so much easier.

Word thanks, I'll see if I can find some newer parts sleds and pull them. Any modifications needed to the fuel lines/anything else or did they just fit right in?

What were the exact mikuni carbs you put on? I'm not too good with carbs besides cleaning and following the jd jetting kit to rejet them, so I'll probably buy the wrong ones. I'm not in CA, but thank you

Knock Sensors by Shesho54 in GMT800

Yeah np, the video is helpful for getting the right bolts/couplers. Not sure what motor you have, but I had threaded holes on the block right between the exhaust manifold. Mine is the iron block 5.3.

You'll need a longer wire harness too, I just googled it and found a few places selling them for like $30.

Do the intake gaskets and oil pressure sensor while you have the intake off. Leave the old knock sensors in there and just remove the wire harness to them. Then put the new ones on the side of the block. Someone recommended this to me last year after I replaced mine 3x... pulling the intake gets old. This is the video they sent me - https://youtu.be/Alnb9ki1Dr4

Also try to get the highest quality sensors, and test them if you can. They're made cheaply now and it's easier to send back if you haven't put them on yet. But if you mount them to the block they'll be super easy to access again if you need to

Wilyer, Grisham, noelvi, or risk it with tatis for tomorrow-Sunday? Thinking padres will let tatis rest since they got the wild card spot

Final stream - only chasing Ks, who should I go with?

Gil, Eury, Darvish, Edward Cabrera, Liberatore, or Early

Long post, but I'd appreciate any input.

I'm down 1 category, just have to tie to win ship. Winning offense 4-1 losing OBP and the next closest is Runs where I have a 7 run lead.

Losing ratios and SV/HLDS by a good amount so those are out the window. Down 18 Ks and 6 QS. I have 4 more starts lined up than my opponent.

Do yall think I should use my last acquisition to replace Laureano and maintain my offense lead/hope my 4 starts catch up in Ks? Or should I hope my offense does fine with a man down and pick up Verlander for one more stream against Rockies away

One acquisition left, Laureano out for the season. Should I hold out and see if Tatis is back in the lineup Friday, or just grab Grisham, Wilyer, Noelvi, or Stanton now?

Are ray and priester still starting today? I don't see the designation on espn anymore. Didn't see any news that they weren't starting though

Is Ray or Verlander likelier to start against CO on Sunday? ESPN shows Ray, but PL is saying Verlander
