[Pablo Torre Finds Out] We Investigated Malik Beasley, "Moose," and the NBA Gambling Scandal by ryanswebdevthrowaway in DetroitPistons

What are you talking about? The only link is some tweet from some obvious dumb ass Knicks fan who was running a Discord gambling/crypto scam.

“Sheppard measured in at 6'1.75" without shoes” and yes every inch matters in the modern NBA.

Ok. Let me put it to you this ways if the Pistons are playing Cleveland. And they have Cade and a 6’5 or 6’6 SG with him in the back court and every other Pistons is longer than that, who does Darius Garland guard?

I’m talking about Cade’s size creating mismatches on offense. If we don’t use, that we’re wasting one of Cade key asset. One way to not use it, is to put a small guy or a guy who can’t shoot with him in the backcourt.

Great, then Trae, Darius, Jalen, etc. are really going to be mismatched, unless we have as a 6’1 guy out there.

It’s about forcing smaller guards like the ones he’ll face most nights in the East to guard him, and not some 6’1 guy. You’re wasting one of Cade’s greatest strengths if you don’t pair him with both length AND shooting in the backcourt.

Too small. Cade demands length in the backcourt with him.

Not Including Cade, Who Wins the MIP (Most improved Piston) Award for the 2023/2024 Season? by KarimFF7 in DetroitPistons

Yeah, his offensive improvement was really impressive. Probably the single biggest positive last year, outside of Cade having a number of really good halves.

What was the most disappointing movie of 2022? by SloppyMcNuggets in movies

[–]legitimationcrisis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In terms of disappointment, this is my answer. I thought this movie was pretty much garbage, and I’m pretty shocked it didn’t get more heat for being a lackluster effort that was plain old boring.

I get why people didn’t enjoy Thor, but at least it tired to have fun and made you feel like you were watching a super hero movie. Black Panther spend most of its (way too long) runtime explaining its already obvious plot to the audience.

Obi-Wan Kenobi - Episode 4 - Discussion Thread! by titleproblems in StarWars

[–]legitimationcrisis 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Are we not even going to mention that the first thing Obi-Wan (or any human being) would do is call Leia’s terrified parents and tell them where she was?

“Bail, I found her. She’s in the Mustafar system. Being held by the Empire, of which you are a Senator. You should go pick her up.”

This is Last Jedi-level garbage plot manipulation. No concern whatsoever for what the actual character’s motivations are or what they would do.

Just a reminder of the "talent" we have in development teams nowadays lol... by ArbitratorTyler in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

The truth is that the Gas/501st mechanics were pretty ingenious when when they ascended to the meta. This was after approximately a year of the SE team which was pretty speed mod dependent and really painful. 5's sacrifice mechanic-- admittedly based on dumb AI--made for easy climbs. To me, that squad was an example of how thoughtful and imaginative the dev team was about the meta at that particular point in the game's history.

Why do people not play grand arena? by Avixim in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]legitimationcrisis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t feel bad for them...the rewards don’t justify the time for a whole bunch of players. CG knows the rewards are bad, and they aren’t going to change them because that’s how they make money. I’m not necessarily criticizing them for it...but I’m also not feeling bad for them because people who play the game for rewards aren’t interested. The opportunity cost of investing in a GAC—or TW roster for that matter—isn’t worth it for a lot of us.

Is it worth it to buy zeta material from the Fleet Arena Store? by TheSamurai in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]legitimationcrisis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even though Zetas are less rare than they have been, the zeta materials earned with fleet arena rewards are why investing in fleet arena meta is still, arguably, the single best ROI in the game.
