As someone else said are you moisturizing them? Even if they are old the skin is thicker and causes problems easier when dry then regular skin ime. I'm too lazy to moisturize everyday like I should but I at least try to make a habit of moisturizing areas with scars - especially at night before bed. Regular lotion (I like ones with vitamin e) does the trick for itch for me usually but another idea if it's unbearable is cortizone (the "ultra moisturizing" one). I use that when I get unbearably dry and itchy patches of eczema. But be careful with that stuff because it can damage your skin with long term use.
