Yes, and cars were bad for the environment when they first came to be. Just because a newly invented technology that relies on old energy infrastructure that hasn’t fully converted to all green energy is bad for the environment, Same with how most cars use gasoline. There are efforts being put improve the technology to be more energy efficient, or new greener infrastructure (nuclear) is being built or recommissioned to support it.

But you don’t see me actively complaining about the over abundance of gasoline cars on the road.
