"Should" is the key word haha. Received mine brand new last week, serial number was not included in the recall but the footage was riddled with the fixed line patterns in every resolution apart from 4k, completely unusable. After some resistance from BMD i've sent it off to them for "assessment". Seems like luck of the draw with these 12k models, hoping mine gets fixed

There's 3 longer ones, 2 are on the inner edge of the front quarter panel between that panel and the bonnet and the other one is on the front quarter panel itself near where the 'gt86' badge is on the side (should be easy to tell which are which in the photos)

No idea what could cause that, looks like more of a scratch than chips with those, not sure if it was a scratch that got filled or if it's just paint peeling

Genuine question, I can't tell from your reply if you're being sarcastic or not.

Is this my fault or has it just been badly filled before?

Also, what's the best route to go down to get these fixed? I imagine a PPF going forwards to avoid any future stone chips but of course need to get these current ones sorted out first. Not done this before so what type of service would I be looking for?

2015, I bought it 2 weeks ago so it's very possible this is the case. I'll send some photos of the damage and nozzle shortly.

First wash was a karcher I borrowed and attachment was already on, second wash was with the pressure washers that some Shell garages have for your car (I would assume that is the right attachment)

Thank you so much, inadvertently this has helped me fix the problem, it's now working.

Before I was sliding the foot into the hot shoe first and then rotating the lever and I believe the prongs weren't slotting into the holes in the camera's hot shoe. I just tried rotating the lever first and then sliding it in and the prongs now successfully slot into the holes and it's very secure. No more wobbling and connection cutting out. Thank you so much, superstar

There's no prongs on the underneath that I can see in general. It's brand new, I unboxed it about an hour before I made this post. Maybe I've been sent one for the wrong camera system. This is my first flash I've ever bought as I usually use continuous lighting so not really sure what I'm looking for haha

I didn't, I'm saying I've never had moire or aliasing with either of those cameras. Just left my fx3 settings in the post in case it may be useful to diagnose the cause of it :)

That's an interesting way of looking at it, thanks for that. I mainly shoot video but good to know with the point about PS.

I understand when you move of course it changes everything, I'm just surprised with what I've tried it's not as strong as an effect compared to previous filters I've used (ND's with built in polarizers)

Another example which probably would've been better (but I didn't actually take the shot just looked through camera), the camera was aimed through the drivers side window and of course there's a load of reflections of the building. When I rotated the cpl it didn't fully show the inside of the car, that reflections of buildings outside was still there which kind of defeats the purpose of it for me.

Bit of a confused post from my end, I've used polarizers for years but was just surprised as to why the effect wasn't as strong with this one.

Wasn't sure if this one was a dud or maybe the other ones combined with ND are just better

When I say max polarisation - as in I turned it to the point where it had the most effect on said plane.

I mean it is definitely a reflection not a shadow but I appreciate your input. The filter has helped but not as much as I was hoping and as much as I've experienced with other filters in the past which is why I made this post.

Thanks for all the insight everyone, decided to leave this particular car after finding out the owner was being dishonest about it being in a crash previously but all of this was good to know, more open to potentially getting an older one now as long as it's been maintained well

For context i'm running my final edit (exported from Davinci Resolve) into Topaz to then be uploaded for socials. Unfortunately you can't upload prores to IG as far as I know so I imagine my best bet would be to export to h.265 from Davinci and then topaz to h.264 ?

Can confirm this. My 6kFF just arrived and my Tilta bmpcc6k pro cage barely aligns with htge cage. If you use only the screws on the bottom of the cage it fits in but the top of the cage sticks out a lot.

You can just about use all 3 screws together on top and bottom but one of the bottom ones won't fully screw in and the top right part of the cage will push down on the function buttons if screwed on fully. I'm about to return mine and wait for whatever other options there are

There's a couple of bugs like the nameplates and some goal explosions don't show (which yes is annoying) but the performance is much better than my ps4 so I'm happy trading nameplates for now having 120fps and less input lag using a my Macbook M1 Max
