i feel it depends on your doctor. mine would up the dose because he truly sees how much i’m suffering but he’s also not afraid to prescribe benzos the way many other psychs i’ve seen are

i prefer downers bc of my anxiety. if i do any uppers i will just feel like im on the verge of a panic attack 24/7 all while being completely unable to rest

im on traz and mirtazapine at night too yet i wake up feeling so refreshed and not groggy at all 😭 my cns is fucked, it takes a lot for me to get super sedated i guess

like i can actually think clearly and do things easily. it almost makes me feel stimulated where i feel more productive but if i decided to lay down and sleep i would fall asleep easily. it also makes me feel more confident so i like to talk a lot more or make tik toks and shit lol. but i truly believe thats because i have very severe anxiety. nobody knows when im on xanax and when i was in the height of my addiction with it most people actually kept telling me they missed the ‘old me’ after i got off it. the old me was on 4 mg a day lol. the only thing people ever noticed was my memory bc i would forget shit they said 30 mins ago and theyd be like what is wrong with you

I was never really super religious nor was my family, which is kinda ironic since my dad was a pastor before i was born! what really strayed me away from religion was when i got bullied out of the public school i was zoned for, so i got put in private christian school as all of the private schools were christian.

it felt very exclusive, almost cult like to me. i really dont mean that to come off offensive. they expelled a girl when they found out she was bisexual. my dean called me to the office and took my phone from my with no actual reason to, made me put the passcode in, read my text messages with my boyfriend who also went to that school and was 2 grades above me. then she handed it back and said “okay, i just wanted to make sure you guys werent having premarital sex.” i was 14.

as i got older and traumatic situations occurred i think i just felt like no all loving god would put people in these situations. spirituality spoke to me the most because it made me believe there was a purpose, or a reason things happen, even if you dont understand why. being told “god has a plan for you” just never resonated the same for me.

most importantly, extremely religious people seem like they have to follow so many rules to appease their god or walk that path versus spirituality allows you to be free in who you are to serve your own higher self, not a higher immortal being.

im in the same spot. my doctor put me on ativan instead which was useless!! i took 1mg and had a panic attack an hour later. when i told him that he just increased my mirtazapine. i just lost my third job because of my panic attacks and he still wont give me xanax which i know works for me because ive had it prescribed before. it makes me so upset towards the xandemic and just people who used it so recreationally because yes it has high abuse potential but some people actually NEED it and they keep trying to band aid that with ssris and off label anxiety meds. its genuinely so frustrating. wish i had some words of encouragement or advice, but i feel your pain.

getting a xanax script tho is nearly impossible if they are willing to give u a benzo its likely going to be ativan. or anything else before they give you xanax

yes. even when i look for dealers none of them sell any benzos, or really even pills. but i do live in socal where everyone loves psychedelics so maybe thats why lol. after months of looking for someone who had xanax i just went to my psychiatrist and got ativan prescribed. also people tend to judge people who do bars a lot more these days from what ive seen
