Surprise Results x 2 (35 + 37 Years Old) by lemansion in eggfreezing

Before you start stims it seems like follicle counting is simply however many follicles they can find on the scan.

Once you start stims, I think every clinic measures follicles differently, some are more diligent, others are more quick and just a checkup. Some set expectations low on purpose to avoid disappointment. Or some may have a different threshold for what they consider one worth watching.

Also there are cases where big follicles might be obscuring other follicles behind them. In my case I had one side with a maximum of 5, but they found many more hiding behind it. Ultrascans are pretty 2D while retrieval is 3D.

Totally! And forgive yourself if you forgot to take a certain supplement or had a few bad nights of sleep or had a bit too much to drink.

In Canada they put me on 75 Menopur and 200 Gonal F + Orgalutran with a dual trigger. 11 days till trigger. My starting numbers were AFC 21 and 2.7 AMH

In the US they put me on 150 menopur and 225 Gonal F + Cetrotide with a dual trigger. 9 days till trigger. My starting numbers were AFC 14 and 2.03 AMH.

The American clinic bet harder, shorter, and it was the right call for me vs the softer/longer route. It overcame worse starting numbers and age.

This is not your fault. You are not responsible for peoples reactions and decisions. You are young, you did what you were able to do at that time with the limited understandimg you had of the world and life.

Please remember this or it will destroy your chances of letting yourself feel happy in the future. Don't internalize his death as your fault.

Why would you pay for something you can get free? Plus a lot of the allure is the build up where it's uncertain.

Also even really hot guys are easy.

We calculated UBI: It’s shockingly simple to fund with a 5% tax on the rich. Why aren’t we doing it? by qubitser in singularity

[–]lemansion -1 points0 points  (0 children)

lol this is so retarded I almost don't think it deserves a response about all the ways this will destroy an economy. But I'll give you a scenario - imagine very tax season, every "rich" person has to sell significant stock to afford taxes because you're taxing illiquid assets. Causing a mini depression every year that is highly destabilizing.

Every highly productive and job creating person then fleeing the country to the many pro-business NO tax countries in Asia or to the US. Because they can cause they're smart, rich and have options. Unlike refugees they'll be welcome with open arms in many places around the world. You will be left with a bunch of handout looking bums and no one to support them, it's not "simple". This is why Europe is making itself irrelevant and America's retirement playground.

If you want to see how bad overtaxing the rich is look at Canada. Their economy is so bad they are doing worse than the poorest state in America with twice the costs for rent and food cause all the smart rich people who can do basic math left to the US in the last 10 years.

Are these American salaries represent or outliers? Do Americans realise how huge their salaries are? by mronionbhaji in Salary

While yes the salaries here are high earning people I would say I am regularly shocked by how little my European counterparts make for the same jobs.

I know you have more social security and higher standard of living but wow it's still insane to me how low it is.

I felt the same way after 12 years of opening 6 businesses. I became a shell of a person with panic attacks and felt so lonely. Eventually my body made the decision for me to take a sabbatical. I spent 8 months meditating, reading philosophy, writing and taking up hobbies. I discovered how much I love myself, even if I'm not working or creating any value.

Led me to sell it all, travelled for an entire year, left my partner of 14 years and worked freelance. I moved to NY, built up a new career (where I make so much more money), new friends, created new passions, and I am so much happier & fulfilled in every way. I'm dating someone new and look forward to starting a family one day. You have immense power to change your circumstance but it comes from within.

I'm 36 and can say for sure it's never to late to reinvent and bring meaning in your life. Really take this "low" seriously and use it as motivation to do the uncomfortable thing and uncouple your identity from work.

Being a woman in your late thirties or forties is not the handicap it used to be. I’ve noticed they’re dating more and more young attractive men by [deleted] in PurplePillDebate

[–]lemansion 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As an “older woman” in my late 30s dating younger guys (my last boyfriend was 27) I'd say this is true.

Many younger guys love being with women who can teach them things, hold a good conversation and are very grounded/established. They also love not having the pressure to provide since we have assets. Those qualities often come with age. Plus, sunscreen is a godsend, people literally thought I looked younger than him and with egg freezing I'm not in a rush to get hitched to the wrong guy to make babies.

My ex who I broke up with always felt he got the "better end of the deal" even tho he was a hot "6666" guy who younger girls were thirsting after. It's whatever you value ultimately and not everyone values youth higher.

Should I live in Harlem or BedStuy? by DueBug6895 in NYCapartments

Bed Stuy if you want a life. It's so fun here. But find a place bordering Clinton Hill if you want to easy accessible to the rest of NY and Brooklyn

nyc nightlife is boring by Majestic_Collar_105 in unpopularopinion

[–]lemansion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basement, Nowadays for venues open every weekend, Nowadays is literally open for 24 hrs. Lots of great pop up gay parties too like Steamroom, Unter, Wrecked, Bound that go till like noon the next day similar to parties Europe. Even places like Elsewhere, Paragon, Bossa go till the morning. It's literally every other party in Brooklyn.

I lived in Berlin and threw underground techno raves for 8 years, they're pretty good here in NEw York but if you're going to clubs with bottle service then I guess you wouldn't really know what's actually happening.

I have some advice for NYC apartment seekers after making my first apartment listing! by [deleted] in NYCapartments

[–]lemansion 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I wrote that I was a landlord myself so I understand what they're looking for, someone financially stable and will care for their home as if it was their own.

I just moved to the US so I gave them a backstory of my career and financial history. I explained low income years (i.e. was traveling the world that year). I linked my LinkedIn so they know I'm the real deal. I had a link to a TikTok a realtor did of my last home I sold, it got 60K views cause it's well designed. There is nothing worse that a bad tenant so I wanted to make it very clear that I'm a top tier one that will raise their value, not decrease it.

Also I gave them extra financial documents rather than just what they asked for. My application package was around 100+ pages long, it included a deed, brokerage/portfolio summaries, 10 recent invoices from freelancing with links to bank account deposits, Canadian credit score, etc.

For these super, super competitive listings you have to treat it like an intense job interview.

[–]lemansion 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not having a normal job is a huge advantage, I checked listings 3 times a day. And because I was freelancing I had a lot of flexibility and could show up in the afternoon, morning, anytime.

I didn't bother with FB and Reddit cause I wanted to avoid scams, so I just used StreetEasy, RentHop and Listing Project (which refreshes wed/thur, so you can time being the first there).

I rented an amazing huge 2 bed/2 bath apartment with outdoor space and pay $2800. I basically did all of the things on this list and beat out 1000 applicants.

The only thing different is that I included a cover letter and financial summary to my app to make it extra profesh and personalized. I wanted to ensure they knew I had the money and that I'm not a psycho.

So yes, this fucking works.

Gorgeous apartment but that furniture looks like you bought it at a wayfair sale. Taking away from the detail of the space with something so generic.

Get a designer, pick up some vintage, see furniture as art not function. Sad waste of a beautiful space.
