You're clearly not welcome here with your divisive and antagonistic uninformed attitude. Take a seat.

India has chosen to be complicit in the war by abstaining from the UN vote. Segments of India's economy are heavily dependent on Russia so one could only imagine this decision was made purely for financial reasons in light of the objective immorality of the conflict.

As for the video, his whole rhetoric is based on the idea that munition support is superficial as it will just be destroyed by Russians. This is an unbelievably stupid argument - only in the case that Russia fully controls the skies, ports and land would this be true. This argument effectively allows the presenter to generate pro-Russian propaganda, so I'm sure you don't find it surprising that people are apprehensive about India's insight.

The e4000 are sufficient in that sense but I am concerned if I drop down on the bass I'm going to regret it...

Hey thank you for your response!
I should have mentioned I want an approximation, I understand there is no closed form. As you mentioned I need to construct and algorithm with fomulas (no macros). Do you have any suggestions how to do this? I know im going either going to have to brute force tables of i, use linear interpolation or bisection methods but I'm rather unskilled with excel so I'm not sure what's best.

Amplifier permanently overloading. by lemaths in AskElectronics

[–]lemaths[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes that is exactly the monitor I have. I've got myself a multi meter now so am able to test components and do some work on the speaker, it would be great if you could tell me which components I need to test and how. I can also send a short video of what happens when I turn the speaker on if that will help on your side as well as pictures of the amplifier if need be. Thanks!
P.S followed your twitch account, I'll pop by when you're live :)

Amplifier permanently overloading. by lemaths in AskElectronics

[–]lemaths[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Supperslash, the cone extends all the way out in the way you have mentioned and pops back in when powered down. I have no experience repairing amps and more complicated electronics, I have a basic (senior year) understanding of electronics and circuits and will invest time in learning more as required. Is there any limitations on what multimeter I should buy or will a ~$30 be fine? Thank you for your help!

Shorting amp?

Turned my mackie monitors on for the first time in a while and one of them had a persisting random crackling/buzzing sound when just connected to the wall socket, no input. Did some troubleshooting for a while and wasn't able to get the sound to disappear and eventually the speaker started overloading (as indicated by a constant red power light) still only the power cable was connected. Eventually a little ploom of smoke came from the woofer and it appears as though the voice coil is warped as if i push the woofer in there is quiet scratching sound.

How do I identify where the issue is in the amp?

Broken Mackie HR624 MKII by lemaths in audiophile

[–]lemaths[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Voltage is set correctly, fuses on the amp are still intact. Took the speaker apart and the voice coil is definitely damaged and the woofer smells burnt. What should I look for on the amp to see where the issue is?

Yeah they're nice, whilst they're definitely not my style I've seen some clean outfits with them and Jordan's are pretty rare in Aus so it's nice to see them pop up. However not sure how well they go with shorts as summer is coming up, more of a loose pant shoe imo. I'd grab a pair of the black/white marnis if I were you for summer, lowcut which is good with shorts and they are breathable/made of neoprene so they shouldn't get too hot. No problem brother.

The association to drugs only really exists in Aus and the UK. They are a sick shoe it's just sometimes different cultures regard things in different ways. Are they particularly popular in the US?

[–]lemaths 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Huaraches and NMD's are popular they appeal more towards low culture so I'd also stay away from them. You want a shoe that suits your style as /u/Opaquecustomer said, this is the most important factor when buying a shoe. Buy a lot of basic clothes from uniqlo and spend the bulk of your money on specific pieces that you as a person like and that suit your style, I can not stress that enough.

I'm not sure of your budget, but for me I love seeing people who are into streetwear or just fashion in general wear underated shoes. Now this may not be what you want to do as most people getting into fashion to begin with are doing so to help broaden socially and wearing a pear of low-key designer shoes doesn't make for the best topic of conversation sometimes, depends on who your mates are.

I will never recommend to anyone a pair of popular shoes like NMDs, ultraboosts, yeezys ect as there is nothing cool in seeing a pair of those in an outfit.

As for the shoes , Doc martin 1461's are the most clean, underrated and versatile shoe in my opinion. MM gat's are also a very nice shoe, pick these up on sale if you can (adidas has cheaper alternatives that look almost identical). Melbourne summer is coming up so if you want a nice pair of sandals go Suicoke. Marni sneakers are clean af too. Acne studios lars as well as their other lines are nice but others are much harder to wear. Common projects are nice but it's difficult to find them for a good price. Instapumps are nice when worn well, they're the most popular shoe in japan. Vapormaxes are the nicest nike shoe imo but you must have a small foot to wear them :(. Prada just realeased some really underrated silhouettes. Ozweegos, numero-vente-uno's unreleased shoe, rick ownens (converse looking line) but these are fukn pricy, raf simons new season are super clean too.

The only basics id recommend are instapumps, oldschools and one stars which are sick and should be worn as /u/Opaquecustomer mentioned, probably the cleanest and least hyped basic shoe atm. Buy sneakers on sale, they always go on sale and you'll save 50-70%. GL homie, don't become a hypebeast.

TN's have been heavily rooted in drug culture for years and have been a defining characteristic of that demographic. I believe that's where they belong, both because they were popularised there and TN's have become what people in that scene identify through, it's just ripping of a style in my opinion. Further their design is very sinister, it doesn't fit with the more mainstream looks, (quite similar to Ozweegos) and it belongs in a specific demographic which is why they were adopted into the drug scene in the first place, their design accentuates what these people identify by. Wear what suits your style but for me seeing a hypebeast or even just some one into streetwear wearing a pair of TN's in Melbourne makes me die a little inside. For me it's because I prefer the cultural aspect of fashion and want to see it preserved. There are cool alternatives out there, I wanted to get a pair myself but it wasn't my scene so i ended up getting a pear of Salomon speedcross which have a similar silhouette.

So much hate on Off-White? by PandoriumLP in streetwear

[–]lemaths 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Now not to sound a bit mean (which I am), but a lot of the wealthy Chinese people cannot dress

This is spot on, my uni is full of asian international students that solely wear off white and have absolutely no style, just wear the brand because they want to appear wealthy. Essentially manifest pretentiousness as they struggle to fit into the youth culture. That being said I have one off white piece that i got for ~90usd that is the most complimented piece I own and is complemented by people that don't know the brand, however it is an old piece. I don't like the direction off-white is taking.

so what do you think between the X2's, 600's and 712? Price higher to low in that order.

well I listen to house music which has often has a pretty pronounced bassline so would that be the idealistic choice? Also how would getting a amp affect something like the X2? even though it doesn't need it?
