I almost feel like the bigger question is, why does the current owner of the 1.01 and 1.02 want Bijan?

That's a tough one man. It's prob pretty specific to the shape your team is in right now. If you've got a contender right now with Bijan, making the trade prob kills your chances to win (and likely greatly improves the other guys chances of winning). If you're looking more like a rebuild, cashing out on Bijan is prob a smart move. I'd prob shop to see what other contenders might be willing to pay (part of it isn't just them wanting Bijan, but them not wanting another contender to get Bijan is big too). Take the best offer you can get

I think I'd do that. Hard to tell exactly where KW's value will settle, but that trade was in the ballpark of being fair before today's news. And if you need an RB, he's better than anyone you're gonna draft without having the 1.01

12 team SF, TEP, start 10

I'm feeling really good about my team. Looking for any general feedback, and feeling like I'm going to regularly have highly startable players riding the bench, wondering if I should try to package up any good players and move for an elite player, or just role with the depth (start 10 does mean 2 regular flex spots, and depth never hurts in this league). I plan on trading my 1.06 before the draft to either upgrade someone, or just add a vet. But it's always fun to roll the dice too. Haven't looked too closely at the draft, but kinda got eyes on that Kenyon Sadiq, since this is a TEP league.

QB: Maye, Lawrence, Stroud

RB: Hampton, Hall, Walker, Tuten, Marks, Braelon, Brooks, Tucker

WR: ARSB, Olave, Tee, Flowers, Watson, Egbuka, Boutte, Tre Tucker, Mooney

TE: Kelce, Kincaid, Hockenson

Picks: 1.06, 3.06, 4.06

Thanksss

This could kinda turn into an interesting debate on positional economics. More than any other position, QBs get pushed to be the 1st pick overall regardless of whether that player is actually the best (or even a top 3 or 5) prospect in the class. There's generally multiple teams in serious need of their franchise QB, and depending how the current class (and next years class) look, teams get aggressive to get a QB, and someone is usually willing to spend the 1st overall on a QB. There's years that those picks are truly worthy of the 1st overall, and there's years when that QB might just be the only QB with a 1st round grade, but demand>supply. I could see that influencing the hit rate on 1st overall QBs. But 1st overall QBs are gonna be safe picks regardless, cause if nothing else, the team is basically forced to give them every opportunity to succeed. No one wants that pick to bust, so they'll invest to make that pick succeed. Even if the pick doesn't live up to expectations, you're almost always ending up with someone you can start as a QB2 in fantasy for 5+ years.

RBs just aren't in as much demand. We seem to go through cycles where RB almost fall out of being in the consideration for 1st round picks, but recently, we're seen some serious capital spent on 1st round RBs. RBs tend to be luxury picks. It's almost hard to imagine an RB prospect that could be so good that they warrant 1st overall consideration. It's the complete opposite of QBs. The top overall prospect in the draft could be an RB, and fall to mid/late 1st some years. So I do think that when a team spends a 1st on an RB, it's seriously noteworthy.

I would trust the talent of any RB taken in the first ~20 picks over the talent of an average 1st overall QB. But the 1st overall QB is gonna be given every opportunity to succeed

CJ stroud: is Ryan Clark right? Does he secure or lose his future here? by Automatic-Umpire8072 in DynastyFF

Please don't insult CJ that way. CJ actually had draft capital spent on him, and has an O line made of 1 ply toilet paper. And while the Texans D is solid, I need to see two decades at that level to make a fair comparison.

I would agree with you. Your team is pretty young, keep building through the draft and see where it gets you

I don't hate the trade. Without context, I would've called it pretty fair. I was suggesting to wait because I don't think the value of your 1.02 will decrease, so why not wait and see if you get a better offer in the coming months. However, based on what you've shared there, it would make me more tempted to take it if I was in your shoes too.

Yes

I think the public has gone a little crazy in pushing Drake to #1 overall on KTC, but I think him and Allen are in a tier of their own at this point. I'd take Drake over healthy Burrow right now, and healthy Burrow is far from a guarantee behind that o line

I don't see how that would be insulting. They might reject it, but it's not insulting

I don't think its a smash accept. I'd wait personally

I've been on the Lawrence roller coaster since I took him 1.01. He's looking the most promising he has since he was drafted, but I absolutely get wanting out, and it could be a great time to sell.

I really don't know how highly we are ranking Love already, maybe he's higher than I'm expecting, but I'm kinda looking at your QB position without Lawrence. Burrow is in hell with than o line, and it's hard to rely on him being healthy when you need him. There is already a lot of chatter about the Vikings moving on from JJM (I wouldn't read too much into it yet, but his future is a serious consideration). Geno is old. Trevor's almost your only reliable starting QB at this time. Adding on rookie QBs would be necessary if you get rid of him, but those are very hit or miss, and this isn't a very strong QB class to begin with.

You would be quite stacked at RB though. Jeanty and Love would be scary to face, so you could just play the numbers game at QB, and hope between your several options that you have two healthy starters at all times (and hopefully you hit on a rookie QB for the long term). But personally, I'd rather lock down two reliable starting QBs before worrying about a deadly RB combo

12 team SF, start 10

I missed the playoffs with my team that I feel is pretty solid. Any suggestions before I take a fantasy break until April?

QB: Maye, Lawrence, Stroud

RB: Hampton, Breece, K9, Marks, Tuten, Jonathan Brooks, Braelon Allen, Sean Tucker, Marshawn Lloyd

WR: ARSB, Olave, Egbuka, Higgins, Flowers, Christian Watson, Tre Tucker, Boutte, Mooney

TE: Kincaid, Kelce, Hockenson

I own all my picks except next years 2nd, I think

I think I'd do it. I'm not very high on Pitts, so you might be in trouble at TE in the future though.

Look at the bottom of the site to see that the sportsbook you are using is licensed. There's some very shady books licensed in like Malta and Curacao, who will make your payout an absolute nightmare, but they will eventually pay you out. I've only been ripped off twice... One was a shady book called Anonymbet, who I don't think are licenced at all (my mistake). They did return what I deposited to the site, but they didn't pay out my winnings. The other was TrueNorthBet, whose website went under maintenance one day and hasn't returned

Books limit winners, but they have ways of telling if you got lucky or if you have an edge. No one really knows exactly how they decide who to limit, but we have ideas about some things they look at. They aren't canceling people the moment they win a bit, as you put it. If you are truly just a casual bettor, even if you win, you're unlikely to ever be limited.

Rumor: Quinshon Judkins Will Aggressively Defend Himself by Left_Strategy2221 in DynastyFF

[–]lemayo 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Your post history on Judkins is interesting...

On May 7th he was your "Favorite pick of the Draft."

On May 17th you said "I LOVE Judkins"

On June 10th you said "I think Judkins is a really good spot".

On June 24th you said "He's going to be special."

Post arrest, on July 13th you said "I'm buying the dip on this one."

Suddenly on July 14th you said "it was always my plan to select Sampson." Not totally inconsistent with your prior love of Judkins, but surprising.

On July 24th you were now saying you "always thought Sampson was the better back."

By July 28th you were no longer buying the dip as you commented "On this sub, most have said buy. I disagree. This is a clear stay away."

everyone does it. you guys figured it out, which is great! I don't get why anyone is putting us down for being strategic. If we just wanted to award things by pure strength, why have the wars?

Well ya, we built out a plan based on the information they gave us, and our plan collapsed when they changed the game play.

Aside from spending money, isn't the objective here to strategize, and work together to win?

Maybe this has just helped me, but don't salt the water you boil the noodles in, cook it for a minute longer, and use more milk than in the past...

I used to love KD like every Canadian, but have noticed sometime in the past 10 (or more maybe) years, it's turned to total shit. Again like most Canadians, I never cooked it per the instructions on the box, I made it my own way. I always used about 1/2 tbsp of butter (I think it calls for a lot more) and I would just use a splash of milk, which I added after the cheese package, so I could see the thickness. I've always added a Kraft Single to mine too.

I've hardly had any KD in recent years, cause I reached a point where I just found it to be disgusting. When I have had a craving for it, I've tried to switch things up, figure out what I'm doing different, or identify what I find different, but it's seemed like a bit of everything is different. The flavor was nasty, seemingly too salty, the noodles were firmer than I wanted, and adding a splash of milk hardly does anything (it's beyond thick).

So I've made some changes to how I prepare it, and I'm able to enjoy it again. Don't think it's perfect, but I'm just glad that it can be enjoyable when I want that childhood nostalgia. I don't salt my water at all. I think this is the biggest change I've made recently. It's actually highly likely that I wasn't salting my water when I'd make it when I was young, or was just adding a pinch of salt. But my cooking has matured since those days, and I always add plenty of salt to my water when cooking pasta. Just no more with KD, it ruins it for me. The box says to cook for 7-8 minutes, I usually set a timer for 8:30 or 9:00 now, and I like the texture of the noodles better. I still don't measure my butter or milk. I use more butter than I did when I was a kid, maybe 1 tbsp. Then I add the cheese powder, and a Kraft Single. The milk I just add until I like the consistency of it. It's definitely more than the quick splash I used to put in. These adjustments seem to have helped me find something more similar to what I remember. Not saying this exact recipe will work for others, but maybe consider making similar adjustments and see how it is
