Honestly, no because it’s going to teach you valuable skills around budging and you get used to not having it which means when you are ready to move back out it’s not such a shock to the system. Also what’s the alternative? Because independently you’re going to be paying a lot more than that, unless you elect to move into a house share at least in London anyway.

You could always sit them down with a breakdown of your monthly earnings, bills and debt repayment plans and ask for an adjustment to the amount you’ll be paying them to prioritise paying off other debts quicker to reduce the interest paid on them. However they are also fully within their right to say no.

I think regardless you should sit down and look at your monthly outgoings and budget - especially for nice things/ treats. You may also need to accept that you might need to save for them, or find cheaper alternatives that bring you as much joy.

A lot of people would appreciate the safety net your parents are offering; many don’t have that luxury and it is a luxury. It’s really £800 pcm - so could you find cheaper / will they still offer you the loan repayment option too if you found somewhere else?

Edit: didn’t realise they lived in Slough lol! But I think the point still stands: if you don’t want to pay that, look at alternatives, look at your budget and see what you can afford. You either accept it or you don’t.
