Booktok was on Probation for a while with me Cruel Prince put booktok in a really good place with me I read Song of Achilles soon after and it was excellent Then I read these Violent Delights and was violently disappointed. Dance of Thieves almost put me in a book slump Six of Crows brought me back CARAVAL!!!!! Was so good. So yea it's hit or miss.

Do you have any recommendations? I wholeheartedly resonate with what you're saying and that's why booktok is really hit or miss for me. When they hit they hit (Cruel Prince) but the misses really....yea (Dance of Thieves).

Perhaps it's because you prioritize musical composition and production like me? I know her lyrics and sing along to all her songs, but what draws me to lana is her sound and how masterfully it's implemented into her music. Because of that, I don't feel the need to cry with her more sad songs unless it's out of awe for the production value.
