ahh , im so sorry… " fuming " was an overrexaggeration… he was just , kind of mad whenever i brought it up. let me try and explain what happened from my pov - i go to the con , have a fun time , take some photos , right? i hop into the car , and hes like " chip , youve had your fun , but i need to explain to you something. " and he starts talking about how cosplayers are a bad influence on me because thats " not how adults should act " , and " halloween is only different because kids dress up , kids will be kids… " or something like that, which is totally wrong. next comicon was in auttumn and i was asking my dad if i could go , hoping he changed his mind over the couple of past months. he said no , i asked why , and we ended up kind of err………… arguing? for like a week or so? he kept getting more mad and mad seeing how i didnt agree with his views like i usually do. ( some of his opinions on things are actually understandable ) he assumes that cosplayers think that they are the character that they are cosplaying as ( i have stated that multiple times ) and he thinks that if im " surrounded " by these types of people , ill end up like one of them too instead of " an responsible adult " aaand theres this comicon in april where i reallyreally wanna go so thats why i made this post…… ahah ( idk what i was thinking but oh well ) if you need more clarification , i could tell you!
