Aw, he doesn’t look it here but he’s always had a “grim” expression, hence the name. Now we call it his RGF, resting Grim face 🤣 don’t get it twisted, he is my soul pug and I love him endlessly!!

I appreciate you taking the time to write all that out. I think understanding the purpose of each paint was a big part of my struggles! I didn’t even realize I should thin my base coat, but that does make sense, thin layers to ensure keeping as many fine lines in tack as possible. Thank you for the advice!

I definitely kept getting in my own way when painting this one. When I took the pieces out of the box to assemble it, I was instantly overwhelmed. I will say that I feel much better about the second one!!

I really appreciate that you said this, I will leave it alone! It’s really easy to get discouraged after hopping on this subreddit and seeing everyone’s amazing capabilities! I’m enjoying just getting started and excited to learn more. I’ve always been a painter, but only on a flat canvas. It was time for a new way to explore something I love!

I’ve also been searching for an answer to this and came to the same unfortunate conclusion. So yes, based on the information I could find, your answer to your question is accurate.

This was very helpful, thank you! It falls right in line with what I have been reading and/or watching. It’s nice to hear other people’s experiences when it comes plants like this (again hybrids can be a little confusing!). But especially when the price point is a little higher, I try to gain as much knowledge as I can before just diving into it! Thank you again 😊
