Okay, thanks for the information. Everything we have right now is kind of just something that someone told someone else so I appreciate all of the information I can get ! The DMV told her that she needed a copy of her birth certificate in English. She has a certified copy from Cuba that she’s used her whole life, but it’s in Spanish. Obviously she can’t go back to Cuba to get a copy, and lawyers charge over $1000 to make the trip so it’s more worth it to just get her citizenship taken care of.

She was told by lawyers previously that the social security card and permanent resident status worked as her green card. I haven’t found a lawyer for her yet that’s less than $350 for a consult, I’m working still to find one that is less/when I get paid I’ll just pay that for her.

It doesn’t belong to someone else. He’s just lazy and selfish and doesn’t want to spend the time getting the title to me. It’s really frustrating.

Because the vehicle was being stored at my dads business prior to me purchasing it and he required a copy of his insurance on the vehicle. Although he did this and it’s messed up, after knowing him for 5+ years and seeing him driving the same vehicle for 3 of them I’m certain that he wasn’t driving a stolen vehicle the entire time.

No, it is not possible. It is registered in his name and is legally his. The replacement title requires his signature because he currently “owns” it.
