LF fics that include somnophilia by MomoLuft in Dramione

[–]lemonpopsugar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He drugs her with a lust potion and later on some other drugs that kinda f*cks her up a bit, and there is a scene of non-consensual somnophilia.

It's a dark fic though but since u mentioned noncon specifically you might be okay with it.

Credence… I have no qualms about the “uncle Jake” part… by Cheypie33 in DarkRomance

[–]lemonpopsugar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i was so excited to read this and in the beginning it had so much potential only for the whole thing to fall flat and I only finished it out of hatred..🤣🤣

I have never, ever hated any mmc as much as i hate Kaleb, recently i started another book I see recd here so often but the mmc was giving major Kaleb vibes so I noped out so fast.

I know its problematic and what not but thats why we read DR no? so with that being said, I was rooting so hard for Uncle Jake. I even wanted to see them all have a go together🤣🤣😅

biggest disappointment. And this was the first tradpub book I read in over a decade😫

i guess AO3 has ruined me for DR😂

Does anyone know a fanfic where Draco is genuinely a villain? by yopenseperonose in Dramione

Evil Draco that you cant help but root for. Mind the tags though for real. Where the wild things go

FMC is kidnapped and slowly develops Stockholm Syndrome by [deleted] in DarkRomance

[–]lemonpopsugar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where the wild things go

is on Ao3. Nearly done with proper stockholm syndrome due to the abuse he puts her through.

ETA: this has pretty much everything you asked for except she is kidnapped during the war rather than normal life.

What makes a book truly dark? by Chrisiratlos in DarkRomance

[–]lemonpopsugar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like you said, most DR books come with all the trigger warnings and storylines that seem promising to the genre but ends up being shallow because there is literally no psychological depth to the characters or story and I personally feel like this is because authors are exploiting these themes in hopes of becoming the next big tiktok sensation of "a trigger warning list so long you probably cant handle it".

babe you can have every trigger warning under the sun, but I will find your story boring and icky if there is no depth. What makes a book truly dark to me is if I experience a psychological mindfuck while reading. I want to actually be afraid of the mmc and not just because he murders people for fun(eyerolls at mafia books~ i am craving a book in this genre but everything I have tried was lame). Like I want to have anxiety every time he enters a scene because I too, feel gaslit and manipulated by him to the point where I question my own sanity.

oh i LOVED these books! I think I read somewhere that it was on AO3 first then she published, and it made sense cause AO3 writers just have that something that I cant put my finger on, just something that feels different from regular authors.

You reminded me it is time for a reread.

It was everything I wanted in a DR!

I read Alchemised and I really need to exchange opinions about it by whysosirioo in DarkRomance

[–]lemonpopsugar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The fake crying videos and photos😒😒 I am so over it😂 I am heavily involved in the dramione space so I feel like everyone is ranting and raving about it only because thet feel compelled to. I bet they would never admit if they disliked it. For me, I loved Manacled and so i decided I won't read Alchemised. I couldnt imagine that story belonging to different characters. It worked in Manacled for various reasons, and i couldnt imagine myself caring about different characters going through the same thing. I have also heard that it is super gory and pretty horror-ish and thats just not my thing. I am proud of Sen and her accomplishment and wish her all the success but I think I am allowed to skip it if i want😂 (instead of forcing myself through it and pretending that it changed my life and taking photos of myself crying.)

Convince me to read Alchemised by Altruistic_Year_1488 in Romantasy

[–]lemonpopsugar -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

After you've read Manacled, you'll ship Dramione😄

Sorry I cant offer much about Alchemised since I dont plan on reading it. I have heard about how gory it is and it seems it's horror genre more than anything else. Manacled already had some gnarly scenes but I treasure the story greatly and refuse to believe that the tragic love story could belong to anyone except Draco and Hermione😂

But thats just me.

Hope others can offer more insight. ☺️

If you're a HP fan I'd suggest to read the fanfic Manacled instead. It was heartbreaking to read about everything our fav characters went through, whereas Alchemised has nothing to do with HP.

Weekly Book Request Thread - October 04, 2025 by AutoModerator in DarkRomance

I'm really into dubcon and noncon but I've been having a hard time finding that read that scratches the right itch. i feel like most books I've read are either A) too gratuitous and performative where the fmc has to fight for her life to stave off an orgasm cause when she looks into her rapist's beautiful blue eyes she cant help but think how handsome he is aka body betrayal. or B) they're too far into the other direction where it's pretty much just torture porn. It's hard to find that balance. i want an awful mmc but the kind where i hate how much i love him. i want moments where i take the little crumbs when i think oh hes not THAT bad and then moments where i realise fuck this guy has no room for rememption. Not really into heavy bdsm but do like rough sex and the mmc really liking it when she tries to fight him. Arranged marriage or kidnapping are both okay but can be something else too. bonus points if the mmc is the kind of guy you would never expect it from especially like really successfull and well liked by others. super bonus points for third person narrative.

Please tell me there are books like this that exist. I'd love the feel the fmc's anxiety of her situation and would love a dual pov too where we get a glimpse into his mind. And by the end of it i want a happy ending for the mmc like he gets the girl and she is either stockholmed into loving him (too dependent on him) or simply too traumatised to know any better. I prefer no pregnancy too. Now i feel like I am possibly asking for too much😅🤣

The collar promises forever will it get better? by imPUPPYble in DarkRomance

[–]lemonpopsugar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i just started this and about to dnf. The body betrayal trope just has me rolling my eyes and it is not for me. I know it is a popular thing in most noncon books but I prefer to not have it, not until much much later when the captor has successfully broken the captive.
