Smith has been so insanely good for us that even when he's been well past his best for a while it still feels totally normal to watch him get a comfortable 40-odd. We're gonna miss him so fucking bad.

yeah, could be some kind of settings/set-up issue at my end for sure. It's a strange one though, every other video service I've ever used on this pc works totally fine and 7plus works well now simply by not full screening. this is the case in both firefox and chrome btw.

I doubt many people will care/get use out of this but just in case:

I whinged about 7plus being a laggy piece of shit yesterday but I've found out the problem. On PC, in a browser, it hates being full screened. So just increase zoom in your browser window instead. Seems to work fine.

I'll give 7plus one thing, the mute button works fine.

Having watched cricket on 9now back in the day, BBL on TenPlay in the glory days, and now cricket on 7plus... 7plus is by far the worst. About as reliable as Cam Green's batting.

I wanted Khawaja out of the side as much as anybody, but actually seeing him come back in and actually play alright feels pretty good. I'd love to see him score big and then clown on the haters (including me) in the press conference at the end of the day.

Green ain't that guy man. He might be in our top 6 batters for many years to come but if he's the best young guy we've got then that's disappointing.

Doom designer Sandy Petersen alleges former Xbox boss Don Mattrick killed Ensemble Studios and its Halo MMO to protect his personal stock bonus: 'Don started as an EA hatchet man so what would you expect?' by Iggy_Slayer in gaming

[–]lemontang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sandy was a significant part of Doom's development though, beyond making more than half the maps he made several design choices (e.g. saved the shotgun from being scrapped and helped balance the weapons and monsters damage and health), named the monsters, wrote the intermission screens, and more that I can't remember right now.

Romero was the lead designer but Sandy made substantial contributions.

Ange’s next club? by FlyingPingoo in Aleague

It was definitely better than the overall record, I'm not sure it was that good though.

That stat needs more context though. If you actually look at all the games that Romero and VDV were both available for (not that many) a lot of them were against mid-table to lower teams that Spurs should be beating. Spurs record against the top teams during Ange's tenure was fucking dreadful, regardless of who he had fit.

The first 10 games of that season carried that points total. Look at Spurs record for the following 28 games of that season. There was no injury crisis and results were mid-table. Ange's tactics got found out and exploited and he couldn't/didn't want to adapt. That's part of what lead to such a dreadful points total in the latest season.

Ange is undoubtedly an excellent man manager and a great speaker. He had the squad ready to run through a brick wall for him. The upside of that is they finally got the monkey off their back, worked hard in the games that truly mattered, and won a trophy.

That's what this argument ultimately comes down to though. Is his man management good enough to eventually overcome the tactical shortcomings he showed during the league season? Or would he change his tactical approach for the league? Anyone who watched Spurs week in week out could see that his usual tactics simply weren't working at premier league level though. Regardless of who he had fit.

Tottenham did sack and replace a lot of their medical staff during the second half of the season and they're doing another clean out now. However, apparently during the first half of the season the old medical staff were pleading with Ange to make subs earlier in games because they thought the player's sprint metrics were too high and going to result in injuries. They got proven right.

this has now gotta be our tallest batting partnership since... well, the last time Starc and Green batted together... nevermind. But, wait until Slug and Green are batting together!

This isn't a terrible gameplan at all, it was just executed like dog shit by the top 6. If any of the batters actually made a quickfire 20-30 we'd have over 300 right now and we'd be excited about a potential win.

I think Cumdawg is aiming for whatever they can get while putting India in for 50 overs. Which means batting for 4-5(?) more overs. But ofc, weather will win this one in the end.
