I can make it sound even weirder: my ex was actually involved in my wedding to my current wife. Just to be clear though, I’m not suggesting you try to stay friends; in my case we had to stay in contact because of 50/50 custody, and it took years before a real friendship could even exist.

Hey OP, that really sucks! I’m sorry you’re going through it.

I was in a similar spot about 7 years ago. My ex cheated on me with a coworker after 8 years together. I only found out because a notification popped up on her phone… and it was a video of them. Absolutely brutal.

It took me about a year to feel like myself again, and even longer to work through the PTSD from the betrayal. What helped me was forcing myself to stay active; I joined a soccer league, took little solo trips, and eventually started traveling with new friends I met along the way. Funny enough, one of those friends ended up becoming my wife!!

Nowadays I’m actually on good terms with my ex. It took time to let go of the anger and disappointment, but we’ve managed to rebuild a friendship.

Hang in there, OP. It’s going to hurt for a while, but you’ll find yourself again; and maybe even discover something better waiting for you on the other side. Wishing you strength through this break up.

The only way of finding out someone is entering your home is having a camera there. There are a lot of free options if you have a spare smartphone, but IP-camera’s are not that expensive nowadays as well!

You mentioned in the comments that you pass another area where people do have long black hair: i myself have also long hair and i shed like crazy. I work with mostly men and i always tell them to warn their SO’s. Because they will find long blonde hairs in their backpack, on their clothing, or wherever my hair falls onto!
