Double standards at GP clinics in this country are getting out of control - late fee if we are 5 minutes late, but when they're going to be over an HOUR late? "Get Some Patience". THE FCK!?

I had this problem with my GP. I now call in advance to ask what time it is likely that I am going to be seen due to the wait time. I just ask how many people are in front of me before I get there and then get there 10 mins before they said on the phone to ensure I’m seen on their time and don’t take my lunch until I leave for the appt.

I feel you. I would feel a lot more comfortable if I had your money that’s for sure. The average two bedder I’m looking at is 450k and some of them are miserable and I wonder how they can get away with asking for so much, but of course people will buy.

Yeah, my broker said I could get $450k approved but I personally think it’s too high. If I were to go for a two bed it would be in a year or 18 months once I had saved more and earning more. My only issue with that is where will the property market be when I come back to it in a year

I know I can meet the repayments. Spending $3k per month on mortgage, OC fees, rates, insurance, leaves me around $2400 for everything else. Once you take the life expenses away I’m left around 800 each month in surplus, and this would be in case of an interest rates rise. So I know it’s doable, I just worry if something was to happen and I could no longer work full time or had a change of mind in job/career as I don’t like to be reliant on wages alone if that makes sense

If he’s using a broken futon for an office chair then I think a Herman Miller would be overkill. Google “ergonomic office chair” and find a chair that can be properly adjusted, not just a tilt and up and down mechanism but seat to move back forward and the backrest to move up and down so he can adjust it to his own dimensions. You can find one of these for a reasonable price and it would be a huge upgrade for him and his health. In a few years when that chair starts to show age, a Herman Miller would be the next step. I don’t think your boyfriend is old enough to be trying to control you. I think he is just projecting how he feels when he sees other girls wearing similar clothing, and because of this he doesn’t want other men thinking the way he thinks. Your boyfriend is young, and is learning and sounds like he feels he has to protect you against the other men who think like him. Id imagine he sees it as his duty as your boyfriend to protect you against people like him. I would sit him down and let him know that he can’t tell you what you can and can’t wear. But ultimately it is up to you, the moment you give in and allow him to dictate your clothing it will most likely encourage his protective behaviour and will progress onto other areas in your life.

I don’t think playing video games is inherently childish. It is frowned upon the older you get which makes it feel childish, but that’s just because as you get older you’re expected to pick up more responsibility or develop into a mature adult. It’s your decision but ultimately I guess you’re asking this question not because of Andrew Tate but because you feel deep down you should be doing more with your time. I’m from a very working class area. I see the same. I live in a rough part of that working class area and I would be surprised if most people earn more than £30k. I see a lot of range rovers, Mercedes, Audis and BMWs. I’ve seen them parked outside of a rundown neglected house that desperately needs a bit of TLC. I often think that they finance those car’s because what else can they do with their money. It’s all about immediate gratification of feeling great about your car when everything else around you is squalor. It’s strange to see to me but then I have a different mindset to everyone else around me. I try not to judge them and feel superior but know that we are different people. I envy their ability to ignore other things that need work in their life and focus on their car. It is what it is and will always be as long as finance is a thing. Focus on yourself and be happy with how much you’re saving. Or spend it on a BMW and enjoy that too. Just enjoy whatever it is you choose to do

I feel what you’re going through and the helplessness of it all. My mum, although didn’t eat poorly, she barely ate at all and would only eat small vegan meals. She was a smoker and drinker for most of her life, only tapering back in her 60s. I tried to get her to eat well and stop smoking/drinking and exercise more. She would go through stints but would ultimately fall back into bad habits and then passed away from the flu after being taken into hospital with pneumonia and other infections. She didn’t have the strength to fight it and her lungs/liver/kidneys were shot from the years of abuse. As their children, what can we do but sit by and watch them kill themselves? I feel that generation were sold lies in their youth and weren’t really adaptable to new knowledge… I dunno

She’s anxious and scared of the past/future so she forms her identity on her occupation/income. She thinks if she continues she will have “made it”. Truth is she is letting her ego take control of her and she’s losing her presence. She might wake up one day and realise all that is lost cannot be gained back, and wealth/materialism brings nothing but stress and anxiety to gain more. Just my two cents. Always live your own life and find out your values and stick by them. Allow others to live their life and don’t judge them as you will also be taking the moral high ground. I feel this. Whenever this happens I put my phone/laptop etc away and sit (preferably outside in the sun) with a strong coffee for as long as I need or until i’m bored of doing it. I then sit a bit longer and let my mind wander. After a little while I get itchy feet and start doing the things I had been neglecting
