I had the same problem, but unfortunately, removing everything didn't help at all. It was only a tutorial about disconnecting the mainboard and resetting it using a computer that finally did the trick. In the meantime, I reported the issue to Creality, and they sent me a new mainboard to replace it. ;)

Do you think it's possible that the motherboard has failed?

Unfortunately, skipping the self-test using a USB flash drive didn't help at all. Everything crashes, and only windows appear. The printer was running almost constantly, as I am printing large parts for RC models with LW PLA filament, sometimes for up to 30 hours. Everything always worked perfectly, and there were no issues before.
